Poetry Month and writer's craft work collide! In this lesson, students explore sentence boundaries through the poem "Hope Survives" from Leafy Landmarks by Michelle Schaub. They read, discuss, sort lines into sentences and fragments, and then co-create an anchor chart — all through discovery, not correction.
This is just one example of the kind of practical, ready-to-use strategies you'll experience at the first annual Uplit Writing Conference: two days of best practices for writing, grammar, and STAAR with Heather Alambarrio, Stephen Briseño, Kayla Briseño, and me.
