I’M SO EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE…. My book, The Plant Book, is out November 2025! 🌿💚🌱☘️🌵 If you love plants, but struggle to keep them alive, then this book is for you! It’s a comprehensive guide on how to grow houseplants, so you can grow a thriving indoor jungle! There’s info on plant care 101, followed by detailed growing info on 50(!!) indoor plants, and my FAVOURITE part, a troubleshooting guide to help you diagnose what’s wrong with your plant and how to fix the issue too! I hope this book becomes your growing companion. I hope it gives you the confidence to diagnose plant problems and also gives you the courage to try growing plants that you may have struggled with in the past (hello maidenhair fern and fiddle leaf fig!) and/or to try growing something new! 💚🙏 Creating this book was a real labour of love! And I’m so grateful for the guidance and support from @murdochbooks , especially @kaysermelissa @meganjpigott , VB and @dannielle_viera_writer . And @chris_chen_ for her exquisite eye and photography skills 🫶 The Plant Book is available November 2025. You can PRE-ORDER The Plant Book NOW! Use the link in my bio to get your copy (it will make the perfect Xmas gift too!) 🎅🎄Pre-ordering helps get the word out, so I’d be so grateful for your support! 💚 I can’t wait for you to read it! 🌿 . . . #houseplantsmakemehappy #gardeningaustralia #crazyindoorplantpeopleaustralia #cippa #houseplantsmakemehappy #apartmentplants #indoorplantsaustralia #indoorplantdecor

What does gardening mean to you? 🧑‍🌾👩‍🌾 Today we're meeting Bouk, Sahar and Tammy. All three are from Western Sydney, and all three grow produce in their backyards to varying degrees. Bouk's a first-gen migrant from the DR of Congo, and over the last few years has grown a name for himself in the African community for farming vegetables like amuranth, sweet potato leaves, pumkin leaves, and cassava leaves that are used in households across, not only Congolese households, but all across Africa. Sahar is the daughter of Lebanese migrants, and has a great story about how she has continued to garden vegetables used in Mediterranean cooking like molokhia (Egyptian spinach), despite being a home-renter. Instead of permanent gardening fixtures, she grows vertically in containers and teaches others how they can do the same. Tammy is the daughter of Vietnamese Chinese migrants and was inspired to garden from her grandmother, who used to keep an incredible garden of fruit such as Barbados cherries. To this day, Tammy herself grows tropical produce like jackfruit in her backyard. They all spoke on a panel today, and the two most important points that hit home for me was: (1) Back then, migrant communities grew produce out of necessity, because the ingredients in the cooking that they grew up with overseas weren't readily available here in Australia yet (2) Nowadays there is much more variety and availiability in produce you can buy at the shops, but growing and gardening is as important as ever as a means to preserve culture, connecting to your food and showing your family and kids where your food comes from What is POWERHOUSE: FOOD PRODUCERS? It's a monthly program hosted by @powerhousemuseum to celebrate the local food producers who work passionately behind-the-scenes to make Sydney's food scene great. Our aim? To spotlight untold food stories, multiculturalism and people of the Western Sydney community. This is Episode 7: MARKET GARDENERS ⏮️ Watch Episode 6: LOCAL GROCERS with Abu Salim ⏩ Stay tuned for Episode 8: FIJIAN CUISINE with Lomani Vale #sydneyfoodies #foodstories #powerhousemuseum #gardeninspo #gardeningaustralia gardeners in Sydney Australia

Deserved a spot on the grid 🌿 I got to catch up with these amazing humans last week. We mostly live in different states so it’s rare treat for @gardeningaustralia presenters to get together! Sadly missing Jane and Jerry @darwiniapolychroma . 📸 Photo by: @simong9

In my mum era ✨ A little obsessed with these photos @thesegoldenyears captured of my little family at @hart_vale_gardens ❤️ …It’s been five months since our beautiful Ayla came into our lives. It’s been a wild ride - sleep deprivation turns you into something else while five hours of uninterrupted sleep now feels like bliss - but her smiles, little laughs, loud squeals and milky breath make it all worthwhile 🤍
