THELMA CAPPELLO (Voice as an instrument)

Thelma Cappello is a French composer and multi-disciplinary artist. Her work explores voice, performances, text, installations and radio formats. It ranges from experimental scores to floral arrangements, creating a sensual world of her own. The sound of cars, a tree as a sculpture in an exhibition space, models made-out of magazines and chants inspired by Hildegarde Von Bingen. She creates urban operas in which field recordings are the instrumentation. On stage (for her: a church, a museum or a staircase) she works with intangible materials: sound, odour, light. Voice and architecture are her instruments of choice.
JEANNE GORISSE (Bass & subs)

Bass player (both acoustic and electric) specialising in improvisation, Jeanne Gorisse uses the bass instruments in all its dimensions and resonances, with a focus on noise music with a real sense of narrative. She has made a name for herself in recent years on the experimental/noise scene in Paris, both as a solo artist and in collaboration projects. Her last album, Moires, was released this year on Les Disques Omnison.

His music seems to wander through a maze of distorting mirrors, avoiding the trap of categorization: folk? industrial? jazz? Out of time, like watching a dreamachine turn upside down in a megalithic enclosure. Ancient evocations of the flute, detuned synthesizers, pantraditional rituals, fragile improvisations. The filiation with the French experimental musicians of the 70s and 80s is never far away, and neither is that with their unclassifiable contemporaries, the stage is set in the bizarre and DIY Hexagon.
