When we hit the record button we weren’t thinking about numbers, not that it didn’t matter but we were more focused on sharing our unfiltered thoughts on topics that were of interest to us.
15 episodes and counting, you have found a place here, gave us the privilege of your attention plus the feedback we get has not only helped us get better, they have also encouraged us.
We made it to 250 streams because of you. Thank you for listening!

Had to take a little break and to make up for the times we were away we are back with two fresh episodes (11 & 12)
For real, episode 11 is that kind of conversation you don’t rush and Yomi and I got into it,from the culture of begging in Nigeria and how it shapes the way other Africans see us, to how the OG musicians said a lot about sex without really saying it (and the responsibility that came with that craft).
Somewhere in between, we found ourselves reflecting on how our big bros “trained” us on confidence when it came to approaching women.
Some of the lessons we didn’t know we were carrying till now.
This episode is very us.
It’s out from 3pm.
Yomi still can’t deal with the fact that my French is actually ‘there’. Instead, he’s busy showering me with compliments about my “30-something man looks.” I’m still not sure how to feel about that. 😅
But that wasn’t even the main debate. At some point, Yomi tried to talk down on ultimate frisbee, and I had to quickly step in to correct him because football fans sometimes have that habit of thinking less of other sports. As someone who has been covering the sport closely, I couldn’t let that slide.
In the 10th episode of The Orisirisi Podcast, Yomi and I also talk about the mindset shift that comes with celebrating birthdays as men in our 30s. We rub minds on how Twitter takes are quietly shaping real-life relationships, and we even tried to figure out one important question: what exactly is the male equivalent of “female delusion”?
A bit of that and more in our latest episode.
Episode drops later today.
As always thank you for listening.
-Taiwo.

We’ve been quietly dropping new episodes but it’s time to tell you about them.
In this episode of the Orisirisi Podcast, Yomi goes solo in a reflective monologue inspired by a Substack piece he recently read. The conversation traces the question of love all the way back to Ancient Greek history — where one of the most famous symposia on love tried to answer the same question centuries ago, “What exactly is love… and why do we feel it?”
This is a series titled “Monologue on Love.”
If you enjoy thoughtful conversations about life, philosophy, and the things that shape how we feel and relate with one another, this episode is for you.

This episode of the Orisirisi Podcast began with Taiwo shouting at his cat just outside his bedroom window to stop meowing. The same cat had wandered off the previous day, and you could sense the slight stress from the constant meowing, asking to be let in.
It was honestly funny to listen to, and I guess that explains why Taiwo sounded a bit grumpy on the day we recorded this episode.
In this episode, our conversation took us through several talking points. We explored the sovereignty of God and how different cultures relate with God. You’ll also want to hear Yomi’s funny experience with a cockroach — that story is genuinely hilarious, lol.
Taiwo also shared a controversial take on the importance of female friendships and why men need more than just their partners in their lives. An interesting point of view, to be fair.
It’s an interesting episode, and we hope you enjoy listening.
We appreciate all the love.
Episode 7 is now playing anywhere you get your podcasts.

This should have been posted since yesterday but Taiwo loves an injury time equalizer so here we are. Please do forgive us.
This episode was one of those conversations that stayed with us long after the mics went off cos when it comes to the subject matter, we had a lot to still say.
We talked about power, money, and the world justice system, especially in light of the recent revelations from the Epstein files. How some people seem untouchable. How systems bend for the wealthy. And why justice often feels like it has a different rules for the most powerful people.
Taiwo and I also reflected on something closer to home, which is the stark contrast between how religious Nigerians are and how we live day to day.
Is religion just another union we identity with or is it meant to shape how we live our lives.
As always, this was another honest conversation between two friends, it’s deep and honest and we invite you to listen.
Quick apology, we had some technical issues, so the audio isn’t as clean as usual.
Episode 6 is titled Money and Power Corrupts and it’s available wherever you get your podcasts.
Thank you for listening and let us know what you think!

Episode 5
Now out.
This episode started with deep talks on male sexuality and fatherhood, then somehow ended with a song we couldn’t let go.
That’s how the latest Orisirisi Podcast went.

So in our latest episode of The Orisirisi Podcast, we really went there.
We talked about male sexuality, what it means to be a father, and some of those conversations men usually avoid or don’t know how to start.
Then we switched gears and previewed some songs from our playlist and somehow “Agnes” by @the.kenke got Taiwo waxing lyrical about how much he’d love to hear the song in the soundtrack of a Nollywood film.
It’s our favorite song right now and we ended the episode with it.
You know the saying, sometimes you just let the music finish the conversation for you. That’s what we did.
Episode 5 is now playing wherever you listen to your podcasts.

Quick question, have you ever heard of “choleric-sanguine?
If you’re one of those people who haven’t heard about temperament types, Taiwo shared some interesting insights about it in this episode. He knows this thing.
But that was just the entry point.
This episode of The Orisirisi Podcast turned into one of those conversations where everybody starts seeing themselves in what’s being said. We talked about how our temperaments shape the way we love, argue, forgive, and even how we choose our partners.
Then football entered the room because of course that’s what men love to talk about.
We shared our thoughts on that chaotic AFCON final moment when Senegal walked off the pitch, what it says about pressure, pride, and revolutionary action. Taiwo was really passionate in his defense of African football.
And somehow, from there, we found ourselves asking a question we don’t ask enough:
Why do we actually like women?
Hmm, let’s pause here because the juice is in the pod.
Episode 4 now out everywhere you get your podcast.
