Modernity Garden - حديقة الحداثة Une exposition de Liên Hoàng-Xuân Vernissage le 24 avril 2026 à 17h "L’œuvre de Liên Hoàng-Xuân se dresse comme un espace liminal, peuplé d’êtres intermédiaires, de mots, de temporalités multiples et d’affects hétérogènes, où s’articulent lyrisme et intensité. Ses récits composés défilent comme l’illustration d’une modernité déjà obsolète. Modernity Garden se présente, ainsi, comme un univers sous-jacent, invitant à des temps d’arrêt, comme des bugs qui nous incitent à penser une modernité qui se révèle désormais destructrice. Nous poursuivons alors, à l’instar de nos prédécesseurs et contemporains, une quête visant à comprendre l’effondrement de ce cycle et à en définir l’actuel : postmodernité, hypermodernité, « société liquide » ou « présent extrême » ? Ces notions, pour la plupart occidentales, semblent s’activer et se désactiver selon les champs territoriaux qui les rendent opérantes." Hela Djobbi

Le 32Bis est heureux d’annoncer notre nouvelle artiste en résidence : Liên Hoàng-Xuân. @lienhoangxuan est une artiste de nationalité franco-tunisienne et d’origine vietnamienne, formée aux Beaux-Arts de Paris et à l'Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts de Beyrouth. Son travail mêle sculpture, installation, peinture et vidéo, et explore les récits de transformation, d'errance et de résistance affective face aux environnements hostiles. Déployant des géographies fictionnelles où le registre lyrique rencontre le récit eschatologique ou complotiste, son travail a été présenté dans de nombreuses expositions en France et à l'international (Fondation Fiminco, Beirut Art Center, FRAC Normandie, La Villette, entre autres). Au cours des prochains mois au 32Bis, elle mènera un projet de recherche et de création centré sur la construction d’un espace fictif, dans lequel s’hybrident symboles superstitieux et mystiques, imaginaires complotistes et formes contemporaines issues d’une modernité digitale teintée d’« end-core ». Cette résidence aboutira à sa première exposition personnelle en Tunisie, à découvrir à partir du 24 avril prochain au 32Bis. THE READING ROOM in collaboration with 32bis Médiathèque (@le32bis & @le32bis.library ) Set above the upcoming exhibitions, the mezzanine will host subtle shift of pace: an intermediate zone, neither an extension of the exhibitions nor an isolated annex, but a site of shared reflection. It introduces a third modality of experience where visitors can encounters with ideas, narratives, theories, and histories, Far from providing explanations or didactic commentary, the reading room offers an environment of thought—an informal constellation of texts, images, and concepts that resonate obliquely with the works on view. #arteteducation I Reprise des activités de notre Pôle Art et Éducation Nous sommes ravis d’annoncer le retour de nos activités dans les écoles, en région, et au cœur de L'Art Rue. Ce semestre promet d’être riche en découvertes et en apprentissages. Nous avons eu le plaisir de visiter l'exposition « Tétanos », de Aïcha Snoussi, au 32 Bis Tunis. Cette exposition offre aux enfants une immersion dans l'univers créatif d'une artiste, leur permettant d'explorer des thématiques contemporaines à travers des œuvres qui suscitent réflexion et émotions. Une sortie culturelle comme celle-ci ouvre les portes de la créativité et de la pensée critique. Ces expériences partagées en groupe favorisent la discussion, la curiosité et l'imagination, tout en leur montrant que l'art est une manière d'exprimer ce qu'ils ressentent et observent. Merci au 32 Bis, à Hela Jobbi et à l'artiste Aïcha Snoussi pour ce temps de qualité accordé aux enfants.

The exhibition Tétanos, presented at 32bis in Tunis, marks a milestone in the artistic journey of Tunisian artist Aïcha Snoussi, whose practice moves between drawing, sculpture, and installation. Curated by Hela Djobbi, director of 32bis, the show unfolds across three floors — the museum, the archaeological site, and the living space — each evoking a specific temporal layer. Together, they form a meditation on the urgency of writing our own histories in a fractured contemporary world. Trained at the Sorbonne and the Beaux-Arts of Tunis, Snoussi has developed a visual language rooted in drawing, notebooks, engraving, and material experimentation. Her work explores memory, ruins, and erasure, uncovering their poetic and political resonance. By subverting the tools of archaeology, anthropology, and museology, she invents a counter-use of the archive — falsified, erotic, and coded — as an act of resistance. Over time, fiction has become a cornerstone of her practice, allowing her to imagine civilizations, communities, and artifacts that extend reality through layers of imagination.
