“There’s so much energy, so many events going on. It’s hard to keep pace!” We had the chance to catch up with @hugotagholm , Executive Director at @oceana_uk - the largest international advocacy organisation focused solely on ocean conservation - at the @blueearthsummit to hear his thoughts on London Climate Action Week. The energy at #LCAW2025 was felt across the city! ⚡️

“We need to get better at how we communicate the benefits of climate action.” As climate action was discussed around the city during London Climate Action Week, one theme continued to emerge - we need to shout louder about the benefits of climate action, not just the trade-offs. Climate action is about making life better and safer for all. During the World Climate Investment Summit, we caught up with Barbara Buchner, Global Managing Director at @climate.policy , to hear her take on what makes #LCAW2025 such a critical moment in the global climate calendar. 🌍

✨ London Climate Action Week more than doubled in size this year and it wouldn’t have been possible without our committed, vibrant partner network and wider community. Together, we turned #LCAW2025 into something extraordinary. London Climate Action Week brought to life over 700 events, across every corner of the city, spanning every part of climate action – from finance to fashion, clean tech to food, energy to climate governance, and so much more. LCAW is more than just a week of events. It’s a global, year-round platform designed to accelerate solutions, challenge the status quo and put climate action centre stage. 🌍 To our partners, community, growing global network and every organisation, speaker, volunteer and supporter who made this year what it was – thank you.💚 As a collective, we created a space for radical thinking, bold solutions and action that will continue to drive impact on the road to COP30 and beyond. We are already looking forward to #LCAW2026 - stay tuned!

-- ‼️Why climate convenings need to talk about agrarian reform and human rights Agrarian reform and agroecology are powerful yet undervalued tools in debates about the just transition. Last week, the Brazil Human Rights Fund was the only organization, among hundreds of participants, to bring this conversation to the table in London, as part of Climate Action Week. Read the full post to learn more about these examples and the debate in London, which also featured snacks made with ingredients from agrarian reform settlements and a photo exhibit with images by photographers from Brazilian grassroots movements. 📸 @diego.pirata #Labora #FundoBrasil #TrabalhoDigno #JustiçaClimática

And that’s a wrap on #LCAW2025. 🙌 Over nine days from 21 July, London became a global stage for climate action — with 700+ events lighting up the city from every angle. We saw policymakers, businesses, creatives and communities come together, not just to talk, but to act. From His Majesty The King championing investment in nature, Energy Secretary Ed Miliband unveiling bold new plans for a clean energy future, to COP30 CEO, @anaatoni ’s call for a global mutirão – a collective action toward a shared goal – on the road to COP30 in Belém. 📈 The week doubled in size – with 700+ events driving action across critical sectors 🇧🇷 Brazilian leadership was front and centre, shaping the narrative on the road to COP30 🌍 Leaders from the UK and around the world to people and communities, everyone is part of climate action in London London didn’t just host climate action. It lived it. From Westfield to Piccadilly Circus to the BT Tower, our message was loud, clear, and everywhere. But this isn’t the end. #LCAW is more than one week – it’s a year-round architecture, and part of a global network driving change across borders. Thank you for showing up. Thank you for being part of the moments shaping our future. Don’t tell me climate action isn’t happening.

On 27 June, Women, Faith, & Climate Network were delighted to run a very special ‘Dandelion Dialogue’ in partnership with Project Dandelion and St Ethelburga’s Centre for Reconciliation and Peace as part of #LCAW2025. Over 30 participants from around the world, from across geographies, faiths and professions, came together to think about what a good 2050 would look like for climate, nature, and people. We then took those visions and tracked back to think about what cultural, ethical, moral, and spiritual dimensions and values need to be present to get there. This was our contribution to what is being called by the COP30 team, the Global Ethical Stocktake. At the end of the workshop we were delighted to be joined by COP30 CEO Ana Toni, Minister Marina Silva, Frederico Assis who is a COP30 Envoy on Data Integrity, Marcele Oliveira who is the COP30 Youth Champion and others from the COP team. Thank you to our members who were part of this and contributed so beautifully to a really special day! There will be an official report that comes out of this soon as a well as a toolkit others can use to run their own Global Ethical Stocktake. #LCAW2025 #GlobalEthicalStocktake #FaithsForClimate #InterfaithForClimate #ClimateJustice #DandelionDialogue #WomenForClimate #SpiritualEcology #ClimateLeadership #FutureWeWant #EthicsAndClimate #NatureAndPeople #FaithInAction #ClimateHope #COP30Journey #ReconciliationAndPeace #ClimateCulture #2050Vision #MoralClimateAction #ProjectDandelion
