Another use case for the new 'Random' nodes in @keyShot3d 2025.2. In this example I'm using the Random Colour node driven by Curve Fade to animate a breathing effect on the keyboard back lights.
As the random nodes look at geometry instances, each LED has to be its own geometry. But it's another example of new effects you can achieve with the additions.

There's a lot to unpack in the upcoming KeyShot 2025.2. Here's a glimpse of the new 'random' nodes that are joining the Material Graph.
KeyShot 2025.2 introduces three new ‘random’ nodes: Random Colour, Texture and Value. As well as new randomiser controls in Mapping 2D.
The idea behind these tools is to add variety without unlinking your materials. This keeps the number of materials in scene down and saves you a tonne of time if you need to make a change across all the material versions.
In this scene, there's only one ceramic material (by @visune if you want it) but the colour and mapping are slightly randomised through a Random Colour node and the updated Mapping 2D.
