Together, we curate, collaborate, and advocate for artists while building spaces for new narratives to emerge in Puerto Rico and globally.
Thank you Elisa ( @elisartgal ) for interviewing Larissa and for shining a spotlight on Puerto Rico’s contemporary art scene.
I’m looking forward to participating in this much anticipated panel at @newartdealers about grassroots infrastructure and community building in Puerto Rico.
I’ll be speaking about my experience as a full-time artist living in Puerto Rico and as a co-founder of @sabroso_projects

Life is always providing what I need.
I feel grateful for the people in my life, the ideas the come to me, the doors that open and the ones that close. Everything is there to help me evolve into the best version of myself.
NYC! See you on May 12th at @madehotels
I’m looking forward to seeing two of my pieces shown in New York in May —> “Crystal Clear” opens May 12 at 6pm at @madehotels - Presented by @artmegastar
Obsessed with this lineup of artists ☄️
I reinterpreted Cántico a Santiago de las Mujeres by focusing on a single face, fractured by glass that reflects the sea.
Osiri’s piece speaks on devotion, faith and a women’s role in the transmission of belief across generations.
Those themes are close to me as well but my interpretation also speaks to inheritance. How history and belief shape who we are. It reflects on how unlearning is necessary for becoming who we’re meant to be.
Witnessing the sea has power because it breaks the surface of imposed identity, even if only for a moment, and reconnects us to something bigger than ourselves.

Time’s Prisoner
Acrylic and oil paint on canvas - 30x40in - 2023
I made this piece in New York, at a time when I didn’t know if I would ever be able to return to Puerto Rico.
The bathroom became a recurring motif from the moment I arrived there at 19. It was the one place where I could connect to water. A space for solitude, for introspection, I think a lot of people can relate to that.
I lost count of how many times I thought about the ocean while I was in New York. My body was always calling for it, but it was never the right time. Time just kept passing.
I’m glad I can be near the water now.
Thank you for collecting the first edition directly from my studio🫶🏽
