The Great Escape 2026’s grand finale today closes out an exceptional 20th anniversary edition, bringing festival-goers, music industry insiders, and the world’s hottest new talent to Brighton once again to revel in the power of new music alongside insightful conference discussions.
With thrilling spotlight shows from Peaches, Kingfishr and Angine de Poitrine leading the way, musicians hailing from over 50 countries took to more than 40 venues in one of the festival’s most expansive editions yet.
Alongside a conference edition which continues to inspire - with this year’s programme including keynotes from Melanie C, Radiohead’s Ed O’Brien and more - the UK’s Festival for New Music remains on the freshest of forms!

Last week, we were thrilled reveal a truly staggering lineup for the renowned Montreux Jazz Festival’s 60th year!
Artists from all corners of the music world are set to perform: music legends (Sting, Van Morrison, Deep Purple, The Isley Brothers), next gen superstars (RAYE, Lewis Capaldi, Pinkpantheress, Zara Larsson) and many jazz heroes of the festival’s namesake (Charles Lloyd, Marcus Miller, Billy Cobham).
Attendees can dance their hearts out until the early hours at the Montreux Jazz Lab – just along from newly-refurbished main stage the Auditorium Stravinski – set to be graced by some of the world’s top DJs (Danny L Harle, Yousuke Yukimatsu) across the 16-day event.

The British Diversity Awards 2026 took place last night at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel, to celebrate some of Britain’s foremost advocates for diversity, equity and inclusion in UK culture, sport, business and society.
The event saw Sir Lenny Henry accept a Lifetime Achievement Award for his inspiring work on diversity and charitable endeavours throughout his over 40-year career.
Other key winners announced included Chris McCausland and Ria Hebden (jointly named Media Champion of the Year), Tess Howard MBE (Athlete Powering Positive Change), Trans Is Human (Community Project of the Year) and many more! 🌟🥂
