Often people talk about teachers who influenced them but it’s quite the opposite. It’s the students I have met and collaborated with who have marked me profoundly … right into the core of my heart. I am so lucky to know these two women and to see their lives blossom. ❤️

This week has been heartwarming. I met one of my former SCAD MFA students, @timvcox , in person for the first time. He was an online student so I had only ever known him on screen. Despite that barrier, Tim inspired me in more ways than I can express in words. He is now a professor at Johnson & Wales. And then, a current student, @nhr.photos , met one of my mentors in Maine, @craigstevensstudio , in what feels like a wonderful full-circle moment. There is good in this world. I am grateful for it.
