“One Way” is installed! 🌟
From sketches and steel to 24 metal sculptures rising like a field in bloom, shifting as you pass by, catching sunlight and shadow.
Designing, presenting, re-presenting, fabricating, welding, painting, transporting, and, finally, installing in the Texas summer heat.
None of it would’ve happened without the incredible team who cut, lifted, bolted, and welded with skill and grit. I’m so grateful to everyone who worked through heat waves, project delays, and the delicate dance of installing public art in an active traffic circle.

I am grateful to share that “Relay,” a new site-responsive installation, is now on view at the Daum Museum of Contemporary Art in Sedalia, Missouri.
Installation days on site April 19-23, “Relay” is a large suspended sculpture that responds to the museum’s architecture through repeated arcs, loops, and a sense of movement through space.
I am deeply grateful to the Daum Museum team for their care, trust, and support throughout the planning and installation process and to the CD team who worked alongside me on site with such focus, care, and generosity to help bring “Relay” into being.
THANK YOU to the Relay team including Daum crew, State Fair Community College students, SFCC facilities, Missouri State University team from Springfield, and more….

It was wonderful to spend last weekend in Oxford, Mississippi, making a site visit at the UM Museum. Looking, listening, measuring, and imagining as plans come into focus for a multi-gallery site-specific installation.
Grateful for the conversations, hospitality, and the chance to brainstorm so many possibilities, along with visiting Faulkner’s home, Rowan Oak, and getting sneak peeks of the BFA and MFA thesis exhibitions.
Special thanks curator Melanie Antonelli, Durant Thompson, Stacey Rathert, and Bill Griffith for their time and support while on campus. I am looking forward to returning in September for this special exhibition which will include “24 Hours of Wonder”

COMING SOON: A special art installation by visiting artist Leticia R. Bajuyo. During the week of April 20-23, Leticia Bajuyo will be installing a large, floating art piece in the halls of the Stauffacher building. Shown here is a similar piece that was just on display at Oklahoma Contemporary in Oklahoma City (Photo credit of Blake Studdard).
Leticia R. Bajuyo is an interdisciplinary artist and Associate Professor of Sculpture at the University of Oklahoma. Known for public sculpture and immersive installations, she works across permanent commissions, site-responsive environments, and hand-built objects with a materially attentive approach. Her work transforms discarded CDs and DVDs, industrial materials, and architectural surfaces into sculptures that foreground environmental impact while exploring systems of value, personal and collective memory, and material change.
Recent 2025 indoor installations include Oklahoma Contemporary’s Art Now biennial in Oklahoma City; the Spectrum Theater in Grand Rapids, Michigan; and the Muscarelle Museum of Art in Williamsburg, Virginia. Recent outdoor projects include a permanent public commission in Fort Worth, Texas, and a long-term installation at Josephine Sculpture Park in Frankfort, Kentucky.
Students are welcome and encouraged to come observe Leticia's progress while this complicated piece is installed outside of Goddard Gallery.

To Call To Mind features the work of artists Leticia R. Bajuyo and Alicia Eggert. The exhibition is organized in conjunction with the completion of their public artworks, One Way (Bajuyo) and A Very Long Now (Eggert), commissioned by Fort Worth Public Art and installed along Marine Creek Parkway at Longhorn Road and Cromwell Marine Creek Road in Fort Worth, TX.
The exhibition will open with a reception and gallery talk at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, March 4, at the Glass Box Gallery on the Tarrant County College Northwest campus (4801 Marine Creek Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76179, Building NW03).
Highlighting the core concepts and evolution of Bajuyo’s and Eggert’s work in a survey of sorts, the exhibition pairs newer and older works from each artist, revealing connections to their recently completed public sculptures along Marine Creek Parkway. The exhibit provides insight into each artist’s subject matter, demonstrating how they complement one another through constructions of time and memory. Viewers will encounter Bajuyo’s sculptures built from the residue of contemporary life—artificial turf and architectural remnants—alongside Eggert’s text-based sculptures, time-keeping objects, and site-specific portraits of time inspired by physics and philosophy.
Excited to have this last hurrah with these artists celebrating their public artworks and their work as artists. Thanks to our FW Public Art Project Manager Michelle Thomas @mtrichardson.studio for continued support and TCC Faculty Victoria Gonzales @victoriagonzalesart for her support of this exhibition.
