New DP, DIRECTING, and EDITING work I had the honor of leading the NFL’s 2024 HBCU campaign in which we crafted a documentary spotlighting Historically Black Colleges and Universities and their football programs. These schools and their football programs are steeped in a rich history and I’m honored to shed light on a small portion and some of the major players of this history. I am so proud to be able to share this piece. This is what you call a labor of love fr. Nick and I travelled to 5 cities across the country capturing interviews, sweated through that Florida heat, spent hella sleepless nights locked in the edit bay reworking this story until we got it right, but it was all worth it. This is one of those projects that I felt myself getting better as creative while we were in the trenches. I grew as a director and most definitely as an editor. I was literally dreaming of the edit when I did get time to sleep. That type of creative energy and obsession is something I’m going to bring to all of my projects moving forward. It was a crazy process but I would do it again in a heartbeat. The short form doc aired on NFL Network this Sunday but I wanted to wait until the full-length piece dropped to make a post and share so with all of that said…. Had the honor of pulling up to Harrison Ford’s house to film with him for Bloomberg Philanthropies. I was completely blown away by his generosity and hospitality. He welcomed the whole crew into his home with open arms, made homemade lemonade for us and served it on a golden platter. After we wrapped, he asked to take a selfie with everyone. 10/10 human.
