My second set of speakers had their first outing at @takia.sessions last week.
Raising money for Takia community kitchens providing a vital lifeline for those suffering under the ongoing famine and civil war in Sudan.
These took me a lot longer than planned but I couldn’t be happier with the results. For anyone who wants to come down and have a listen these sessions will be running regularly on the last Wednesday of the month.
Soundsystem appreciation post
Built these, installed them at @pelican.house , took them to @coopaudio weekender
And very pleased with it all (slide 4)
More speakers in the works
A couple from the last month of climbing, my first E4, a trip to the Verdon and the Tryfan ridge line.
1+2 - Electric Blue, E4 5c o/s, solo
3 - Hanna on Truant, VS 4c
4 - Halfway up Arête du Belvedere, 6a+
5 - Unknown climber, Tryfan summit
Soloing Shangri-La was a real treat, it’s such a beautiful route at a very friendly angle which takes you through some proper cliff side scenery.
A truly amazing experience.
Bonus pic of Hanna pulling some shapes 100m up a multi pitch
Christmas 2021 - Donna got all festive and was finally used as a cake van once again! She helped us deliver Christmas presents and sweets to one of the camps here
Today I climbed my first 8a, Αίεν αριστεύειν.
It always seemed like a bit of a mythical grade and I figured I’d have completed climbing if I ever managed one, but I don’t think I’m done quite yet.
In similar news Hanna also climbed her first 6a+ after just a few months. How exciting.
Meteora - This place was created in a battle between the Gods and the Titans.
These cliffs were all that was left over after the hundred handed giants tossed rocks at the Titans. Geology can be cool sometimes.
