Takia goes international! We’ve had the loveliest evening in Brussels - huge thanks to Chez Kirikou for their hospitality and to @kanzlakanzette for making it all happen. For future listening sessions in Brussels, get in touch with us or reach out to Kenza💌

The next takia date is here! What better way to honour Aotearoa music month than a listening session curated by Aotearoa’s sweetheart @mollyrobson , fresh off her recent DJ debut. Join us for a journey through decades of Aotearoa sound, from Māori waiata and NZ reggae/dub to alternative rock, pop, ambient, and electronic. This small island has a deep, eclectic, rich and unique musical legacy that we can’t wait to share with you. Link is in bio for tickets. See you all on the 27th!

My second set of speakers had their first outing at @takia.sessions last week. Raising money for Takia community kitchens providing a vital lifeline for those suffering under the ongoing famine and civil war in Sudan. These took me a lot longer than planned but I couldn’t be happier with the results. For anyone who wants to come down and have a listen these sessions will be running regularly on the last Wednesday of the month.
