𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓦𝓸𝓵𝓯 𝓦𝓲𝓷𝓼✨Based on the world & characters of our short @vespertinefilm - I wrote the pilot script ‘Murder of the Wolf’ - for a one-hour psychological eco-horror series called All We Need. I am honored and beyond appreciative of Leslie La Page & @lafemmefilmfestival - who champion women creatives- amplify our voices so we can channel our inner 🐺! I met so many wonderful women at this festival who brought profound stories to life and ultimately changed me for the better. 🖤

From the beginning, the universe has chimed in telling us we were on the right path, that this personal odyssey, this lyrical road trip to the desert would uncover moments of terror and inspiration, but to keep going, to dive deeper, to find honest and gritty women stories by presenting an authentic female vision as our new lens on topics such as trauma, loss, suicide, and sexual assault, knowing that the power of sisterhood when we stick together can overcome heartache and pain to offer forgiveness, hope, creativity, and the chance for transformation and rebirth. The signs have shown themselves over and over 222, 🐦‍⬛🐦‍⬛, self-operating light fixtures, moonlight that spotlit each scene, to the last shot in the desert with a once-in-a-lifetime pink full moon. I am incredibly honored by the women who stand beside me and who continue to lift me up and support this wild, ever-lasting adventure. 𝓦𝓸𝓻𝓵𝓭 𝓟𝓻𝓮𝓶𝓲𝓮𝓻𝓮:  Vespertine has been the road trip of all road trips- a fantasy journey through filmmaking- a story celebrating women, our dark, magical side, in a world aligned to nature and the surreal. Vespertine is a tale of four women who learn to love again in the depths of the desert by addressing what terrifies them most. Friendship, truth, and humor roll into a juicy psychological thriller. A majority-female cast and crew (the industry's best!), with an unforgettable moment working along side my daughter @harley.greyyy . In two short years, we have built a community, "The Village Queens," to celebrate women creatives, which helped us crush our @seedandspark campaign. This experience is total universal alignment- our last night of production under the brightest full pink moon in Joshua Tree (which inspired our set mascot's 🐦‍⬛ name Pinkie Lee)! Now, Vespertine will have its world premiere in Los Angeles, the city of dreams, and it couldn't be more perfect.
