🔊 On Wednesday April 15th, we are pleased to announce that TAKAAT will be joining us at The Compound during their Spring 2026 Tour. With special guests Daoure Diongue and Abdu Mongo Ali featuring Mark Navarro.
“TAKAAT, meaning “noise” in the Tuareg language Tamashek, is the trio of Ahmoudou Madassane, Mikey Coltun, and Souleymane Ibrahim, also known as the rhythm section of Mdou Moctar. TAKAAT is sonic chaos, improvisation, freedom of exploration and the punk styles of bands such as Fugazi and Unwound, all mixed together with the guitar music from the Sahel.”
This will be a very special night of highly curated music and selection with some incredible musicians local to Baltimore.

🍃🫀🔊 hi friends… got some big announcements im looking forward to and wanted to share it with all of you. the compound is currently fully booked through october with some of our most exciting plans to date. can’t wait to share it but in the meantime you can look forward to this weekend, Saturday 9/20 for BodyWerk II and next Saturday 9/27 with the legendary Lauren Flax coming to play with some of my personal DMV favorites. October’s schedule will be here really soon with some awesome things up our sleeves. And on Sunday 9/28 I’ll be playing at @faden.sonnen some deep rhythms and sonic grooves as OST, with a surprise live set in between. still working on this solo project but every chance i get to play it for you feels like a special one 😇 come and listen as we close out summer and enter the fall season, would love to see you all there and it’s FREE!!!!! peace ✌️ family
