Tour de France š«š·
What a day! We set off from the hostel in very wet conditions and made our way to the finish lineāstocking up on snacks along the way. We were lucky enough to ride the final 1KM on closed roads and arrived super early to āsoakā it all in.
As the crowds built, so did Lathanās excitement for La Caravane du Tourāand he didnāt leave empty-handed! The pros flew past at lightning speed, and just like that, it was time to roll out of Boulogne and head back to Calais for the late ferry.
Lathan powered his way on the return legāovertaking adults and racing ahead to the port! š
He also experience his first ever night ride back to the van.
Canāt explain how proud I am of what this kid achieved this weekend. An unforgettable tripāand already looking forward to the next one.
Big thanks to @waynebullen1st at DFDS for helping us out with the crossing.
š¦ keeping us safe and seen all day & night @exposure.lights

I havenāt been out on my bike much for the last two weeks, but this weekend was great! š“āāļøāØ
Yesterday I did an easy 12 miles going to and from the shops with @lauder82 . Then today we rode all the way to Canterbury and back so I could pick up my brand new sleeping bag for some BIG bike adventures coming soon! šļøš„
We started in Ashford and rode through Wye and into Crundale. I even did the Crundale climb for the first time ever! It was pretty steep (9.5% š ) but it wasnāt super long, so I got up it quicker than I thought! I felt really proud of myself šŖ
On the way home we went on National Route 18 next to the River Stour to Chartham. It was so cool riding by the water! Then we went on quiet roads and some gravel tracks back to Wye.
We finished by riding to Tesco to get dinner, and Daddy somehow fitted loads of food into my restrap saddle bag. I was actually impressed with how much he squeezed in! š

Thank you to @restrap for supporting me on my journey. š¤š½
New FKT on the Henley 100. (Just awaiting verification)
Think Gravel bike is the one for this route, so much tarmac or hardpack so really felt like a slog on the MTB, Some strong winds not helping either but pleased to go sub 4 hour!

The Gravel Rally // Pure Vibes šµāāļøš„š
This event is always a must-do on the race calendar. Thereās just something special about it. Maybe itās the stunning landscapes and ever-changing conditions, the incredible organisers, or the mix of riders ā from those battling at the front to those simply soaking up every mile of terrain and adventure. Honestly, itās the whole package, and thatās why I love coming back every year.
Donāt get me wrong⦠itās a seriously tough day in the saddle š But the format is unreal: elbows-out racing through the timed sectors, then rolling between stages with your mates, taking in the views before the next all-out effort.
If youāve never done this event, make it one for next year š
I raced the World Class Short Route:
š Timed night stage ā 11 miles / 1500ft climbing through Gwydir Forest
ā°ļø Main stage ā 58 miles / 7200ft climbing through Eryri National Park
Buzzing to take the win š„ with just over a 20-minute lead to second place.
Shout of to @albion.cycling for the Big Cheque and @wildhorsebeer for the š»
Huge thanks to the @thegravelrally , marshals, volunteers, and everyone involved in making the event what it is š
Amazing photos from @arielwojciechowski_com šš½
Video footage on board at @thegravelrally . Stupidly let it running and drained the battery so didnāt get much of the race.
Must try better next time with my admin.

Full-on bank holiday weekend in North Wales with my main man. We headed up for my race but packed in as much as we possibly could in the short time we had. Weāre both definitely in need of a few daysā rest now, but it was worth every secondālaughing hysterically in the van, just pure gold.
Huge thanks to everyone who made Lathan feel so welcome and kept an eye on him while I was off racing.
Shout out to @danwildshepherd for showing us around the Farm and letting the boy cuddle a lamb. š

Seven days up in beautiful Wales ā worked hard and rode even harder. Biggest week Iāve had on the bike in over a year, clocking 275 miles. Hopefully thatās done the legs some good; it was certainly good for my headspace.
Missed my little man more than anything though. Huge thanks to Mally & Bec for having me, and great to catch up with some good friends ā¤ļø
It feels like the garden has been a bit neglected over the past six months. Granted, itās been winter ā but thatās no real excuse. I didnāt protect any of the delicate plants like I have for the past three years, and with some of them still fairly new to the garden, I was worried I might have lost a few.
šŖ“
To my surprise, after a little wander around the other day, almost everything seems to be okay and may well have survived. The Ensete (banana plant), which Iāve always brought indoors for winter after hearing they wonāt survive below 5°C, was a particular concern ā especially since the garden definitely dipped into minus temperatures. It looks very sorry for itself, but on closer inspection I spotted a green tip, so thereās hope yet that itās not as dead as it appears.
The tree ferns, which I was most worried about, already have new fronds beginning to uncurl ā something that really made me smile. My Tetrapanax, which has only been in the ground for 11 months, has grown from a tiny, low plant to standing over a metre tall. I canāt wait to see the size of its leaves this year.
The hostas are poking through, along with the cannas and hedychium, all signalling that summer is finally on its way. This part of the garden looks incredible from peak summer into autumn, when everything is in full glory ā lush, packed out, and properly tropical.

Cycling up one of Europes most iconic climbs, Mount Teide with a 9yr old! š
Spains biggest mountain, we had an elevation gain of nearly 6000ft. Super proud of this Kid, he did moan a few times but it was no walk in the park.
The roads are something else, why Iāve never cycled there before is beyond me! Just Wow!!
