Launching on May 6th, the new Revo 5 is the first dynamo light to ever combine a pre-chargeable internal battery with continuous dynamo charging capabilities.
Every other dynamo light on the market forces you to choose: battery convenience or unlimited runtime.
The Revo 5 gives you both.

In March, we sent Nol ( aka @fatpigeon.cc ) a prototype of something we’ve been building.
His brief: test it properly. Two weeks bikepacking across Turkey and Greek islands. Gravel roads, remote stretches, dark nights.
This is what happened.
The new Revo 5. Launching May 6th.

Video postcards from the Traka Adventure
Mid ride, I remember saying to Jana something like, “if you plopped me down right here without context and asked me to guess if I know where we are, I’m not sure I’d say Spain.”
Some parts looked like Switzerland, Colorado or even Kyrgyzstan. Inundated with rain & snow over the winter, Catalonia was the greenest I’ve ever seen.
Then, we crested the hill and the sun set. Lights on, focus forward, Jana and I would split up and come together several times in the night. In ultra-endurance racing, we all have different rhythms of climbing, descending, resupplying and taking care of ourselves. The last time I saw her before the finish line, I stopped for water at a fountain and she continued on– to chase a few positions higher and find the sunrise.
Launching today is the Exposure Revo 5– the dynamo light I used for this race and the Sardinia Women’s Rally. In my 12 years self-supported racing, lighting has been my biggest gear headache. The new light makes it easy. Perfect timing for the bikepacking season.
This summer, I’m riding supported, so I don’t have to think as much about my own needs. Piece of cake, right?

The NIGHT STAGE
.
.
What an evening under the cloudy skies of Gwydir! The rain began to fall as the dark descended, and the clouds rolled in. Lights blinked and shone brightly to illuminate the trails and sounds of riders hooting into the night filled the air
.
.
A test of navigation and skill, the Night Stage was a blast!! When can we do it all again!?

Huge congratulations to @angusyoung139 after returning back to Girona in 5th place within @thetraka 560 — A spectacular effort to get round the demanding course in under 25 hours.
After a shower, double breakfast and enough caffeine to give anyone the shakes, he will be napping and yapping in the event village, if you see him and he’s awake - hand him a beer 🍻
If your light has ever run out before you did, this is for you.
If you’ve scrapped a route because it goes too remote, this is for you.
If battery anxiety has ever dictated your ambition, this is for you.
Revo 5. May 6th.

The longer the ride, the more important it is to minimise variables and when you head into the dark, confidence in your light setup is the foundation for that.
During the Seoul to Busan ride I’d worked out that I’d likely be riding through about 4 hours of darkness, so choosing the right setup was all about balancing output and battery life.
I ran the @exposure.lights Diablo 15 on the bars, set to Mode 2, giving just under 400 lumens for around 6 hours. That gave me plenty of light for the expected dark hours, with a solid safety buffer if things started slipping behind schedule.
Out back, the Boost-R was putting out 75 lumens for 6 hours, lining up nicely with the front light and keeping the whole setup simple and predictable.
When you’re setting off solo, with nothing to fall back on, it’s all about trust and confidence in your equipment. Knowing your lights will last exactly as long as you need them to makes heading into the dark a lot easier.
