“If you still believe you can’t get the lashes wet after a lash lift, I urge you to update your lash lifting education. This is old-school, outdated advice. Education has come a long way.
Science is science. Lash lifting is a chemical process, we’re breaking and rebuilding bonds. This process cannot be undone with water or steam.
So if your client wants to go to the spa the next day?
No problem. My clients have done this loads!
Same day? Still no problem!
As long as it’s been 4 hours, there’s no drama. Why is 4 hours ideal? Because that’s when the lashes start naturally creating sebum again.
Personally, I do still say 24 hours (if possible) but only because I want clients to leave them alone and let the nourishing conditioner really soak in.
For me washing the lashes is NOT optional it’s essential.
Here’s the benefits of washing your lash lifts.
💕 Removes leftover solution
💕 Prevents irritation or potential reactions
💕 Reveals the true results, it’s only when the lashes are clean and dry you will see the proper results.
💕 Avoids issues like “my lashes have dropped” or “my lashes are crazy” in our language over processed
💕 Gets rid of leftover tint in the lash line
Leaving tint behind? You’re risking reactions and sensitivities for your clients.
Letting your client walk out with the eyeliner effect is not a professional service and if you think it is I’m sorry you need to update your knowledge but if you don’t, when you know better you can do better ❤️ and that’s where I can help.
