We want y’all to feel welcome, safe, and heard when you’re in community with fellow movie lovers. 💫
All LFS patrons are part of what makes LFS spaces what they are. We’re all here cause we care about film, storytelling, and our beloved bordertown community.
So we want to ask everyone to move with a little intention when you’re in our spaces (even outside our microcinema). If you attend any of our programs, plz keep these agreements in mind. 🫶🏽
💥TL;DR the carousel?
- Be respectful in every sense of the word & in all situations.
- Help everyone enjoy the movie-watching or workshop experience by not talking during a movie or interrupting a speaker.
Con cariño, the LFS Board. 🫶✨🎥💫🖤📸🥰☁️🌈🤝
Film doesn’t happen in isolation. It grows through creative exchange.🫰
Send us an email if your film is a solid work-in-progress and you’re working toward a goal (like submitting to festivals or completing a film for class!) — AND you’re open to constructive feedback! 🫶
Pls note!
- Films created specifically for one of our calls for entries with awards/prizes are not eligible.
- Due to capacity, not all requests will be accepted.
THANK YOU @carlosevaristoflores and @cmarianog for helping us launch this program! ✨
Excited to see what you’ve been working on. 🎥💫

LFS Study Hall: Movies on Movies continues THIS THURSDAY 📣 Session 7 of 8 of our deep-dive series that explores filmmaking techniques & perspectives across decades, genres, and movements in film history centers ✨screenwriting.✨
🎥 In this week’s film + discussion, we’ll be asking the real questions:
- Where does a movie start?
- How do we shape ideas into films? 🤯
- What is the role of screenwriters in a messy, complicated pipeline?
- Am I a hack??? 😩
But mostly: What are the unwritten rules of cinematic storytelling that the history of movies has ingrained in us? When should we follow those rules and when should we break convention in pursuit of something wholly new and singular? 👾
Join us! RSVP thru the link in bio. ✅
Programmed & presented by LFS Board Member @robertramirez14 .
