Weekends at the neighborhood lavandería, helping my mom wash and fold clothes basket by basket. Machines cycling, warm clothes fresh from the dryer, and the familiar scent of soap and clean cotton filling the air. What started as a chore became time spent together, keeping busy while the day slowly passed.
