Always one of my favorite races on the calendar. Feels more like a mix of road racing, CX, and XC underbiking rather than “gravel”. And I kinda like it that way 😉
Felt really good to be up there pushing the pace and fighting for the win. It ended up coming down to a bit of a duel between @daxtonmock and I. Dax in put a nasty attack on the final stretch of pavement and I didn’t have enough in the legs to follow. Somehow barely managed to fend off a hard charging @matthew.mtb . Great day of bike racing gents. That was a fun one 🫡

A bit of an unexpected event for me between some busy weekends of racing. Honestly, it was so good to take some time to enjoy home roads, amazing food, retro bikes, and get some exposure to a side of the cycling community that I don’t get to experience often.
It was awesome to get to meet so many cool people that have paved the way for cycling on the Central Coast since long before my time. This event embodies was riding bikes in SLO County is all about.
I can’t wait for next year 👊

Had the pleasure of racing the all new @fizikofficial Ferox 2 this past week.
I don’t think I’ve ever had a new pair of shoes that I’ve been confident in racing in after only 3 rides, but these shoes are incredible. The strap and sock-like upper perfectly strike the balance of comfort and support, the new last offers plenty of toebox room to keep your toes moving naturally, and the carbon outsole is incredibly light and stiff giving you some pretty insane power transfer. I freakin love them 🔥
Plus how can you go wrong with a little touch of purple 😈
