My lifer Panamint, took me longer than it should have. The Mojave chews me up and spits me out. But I finally hit a spot with @chrissid24 that I’ve been wanting to check for years, a spot known for being difficult, and an hour and a half later I found what might be the best mint I’ll ever see.
And we might not have found it if Chris didn’t see the hint of a track like a hundred feet away.

A Tiger Rattlesnake from last year. I was having the hardest time with my flash when we found this snake, I don’t even remember getting the flash working which is why I forgot to post these. Tigers are so cool, they’re small head and big rattle make them so interesting looking in person.

This is the third year in a row we’ve made a bet on who finds the first snake at this spot for a cookie ice cream sandwich (obviously prize) on our next road trip. And this is the third year in a row I’ve won (obviously outcome).
I hadn’t seen a rosy boa in a few years, so was hyped on this brute I found.
