LAGOS STATE EMPLOYABILITY SUPPORT PROGRAMME AND ENTERPRISE PROGRAMME HOLDS STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT AT INDUSTRIAL LEATHER HUB, MATORI, MUSHIN The Lagos State Employability Support Programme and Enterprise Programme is actively addressing youth unemployment by equipping young people with demand-driven skills, facilitating job placements, and strengthening the capacity of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to create and sustain jobs. The engagement held today at the Industrial Leather Hub, Matori, Mushin, bringing together key stakeholders, policymakers, development partners, and beneficiaries in a collective effort to strengthen employability and enterprise development in Lagos State. Implemented with the support of the United Nations Development Programme, the programme aligns with the vision of the Lagos State Government to build a productive and inclusive economy driven by skilled talent and thriving enterprises. The Honourable Commissioner for the Lagos State Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment, Hon. Akinyemi Ajigbotafe, delivered the keynote address. In his remarks, he highlighted the strategic importance of the initiative in tackling youth unemployment through structured skills development, enterprise support, and strengthened employment linkages. He reaffirmed the State Government’s commitment to building a resilient and inclusive economy driven by empowered youths and thriving MSMEs.
