Yesterday on the Green Skills Exchange Program for Women in Africa, we explored Climate Change and Everyday Action with Seth Onyango.
He spotlighted a lot of areas where women can start from especially within the immediate skills that can be harnessed including; community engagement, advocacy, communications and teaching.
Even more important in understanding our environment and creating safe green spaces is participating in the conversations that matter, asking the right questions and taking actions in the little ways we can!

DAY ONE with the GSW project lead, @nympha.oz was a strong start as we dived into an Introduction to Green Skills, with participants sharing real experiences from working with climate-focused organisations across Africa.
Our activities today were solution-based. We explored simple, practical ways to tackle common gaps in green awareness, including:
• Water wastage
• Energy saving
• Proper waste separation and recycling
• Reducing single-use plastics
• Reusing and repurposing everyday items and used clothes.
• Planting trees and home gardening
• Minimising paper use (digital alternatives)
• Community clean-up initiatives
From small daily habits to broader community impact, today reminded us that sustainable change starts with informed action. 🌱♻️
