The originality of our cultural weddings is what makes them unique and relevant beyond trends. Filming Noni and Dotunâs wedding reminded me why I truly love filming weddings â finding the story in the mix of culture, love, family, and the creativity of event planners who transformed the venue beautifully. These are some of the major reasons I love this job.
For a moment,
@landmarklagos felt like the eastern part of Nigeria. The dĂŠcor created a compound feel, with families seated in a way that reminded you of a village square. The hall was filled with colour, tradition, music, and the kind of joy that reminds you why these celebrations matter.
Over 1,000 guests gathered to witness it, including the former Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and his lovely wife. But beyond the distinguished faces and the stunning production by
@zapphaire_events ,what stayed with us was the feeling in the room.
@ikosakioduwa ,the MC, made sure it truly felt like a union of two families and even engaged all the elders beautifully. And the way Dotun looked at his beautiful wife during their first dance said everything about how much he loves and admires her.
These are the stories we love to capture not how many dresses were worn.
We choose stories, family, culture, love, and affection over trends.
