36 days of type challenge is finally done!🤍
I didn’t do all letters but this challenge was a big accomplishment for me as an artist recovering from burnout for a long time. In the beginning it was not easy to make extra energy for being in creative mode again after work hour, but gradually I realized myself enjoying this in the process. My goal of this challenge was exploring diverse styles and colors as much as I can, and it was definitely a fun and meaningful journey that revitalized my passion. Pattern can be regular or irregular, organic or geometric, structural or decorative, positive or negative, and repeating or random. It is an interesting visual language to create attractive scenes, and has been my inspiration to create a story.
The idea started with my everyday repeating life, and I found the concept of ‘Repetition’ is a common ground between the pattern and everyday life.
So, what if the normal actions in our daily life could turn into rhythmical and enjoyable moments with patterns?
The entire goal of this thesis is to explore various moving patterns using various mediums and creating a short film with visual interests through those patterns.

At the end of last year, I got to be part of @dunkin ‘s holiday campaign with the incredibly talented teams at @buck_design and @artistequity . Led by @ameliagiller , with character design led by @vanderyacht , this project came to life across packaging, a storybook, and more.
