Last year I was fortunate to work with my wonderful friend and songwriter @lilatristram on a track. Her lyrics and vocals are hauntingly beautiful and I’m so excited that we will be sharing this with you 04/04. This will be on my upcoming EP which will be out later in April.

I wrote this instrumental piece for a short film which I later decided didn’t quite fit the mood of the picture. So I abandoned it and didn’t think anything more of it.
It was only a couple of weeks later when my friend @kelseylim mentioned how much she loved it and wanted me to make her a 7 minute version. So I thought I would look at it again and here we are.
I have named this track after @abelobjects , Kelsey’s beautiful jewelry line which you should all check out. Thank you for loving something of mine I had no interest in revisiting. You can now put this on repeat as much as you like.
And for everyone else, if you don’t like it, you know who to blame ;)

This piano is the instrument I have begun many of my ideas on. Having never learned it properly, it became a way to express myself beyond the structure of technique that is engrained in me when I touch the violin or viola. I feel more curious, inspired and lighter when I sit with it.
This feeling is one I hope to have more of this year. It is the reason I am a musician and very few moments feel as authentic as when I am able to express without restrictions.
There will be more music from la.nskey in 2024 and I just want to say thank you for your support and patience. I hope I release more tracks you will love.
