Thrilled to be invited to the opening of the Art Season 2026 at Chaumont sur Loire which continues until November. Each year, the Arts and Nature Centre at the Domaine invites internationally renowned visual artists and photographers to create original, unique works on the theme of nature. Spread across the Domaine's 32 hectares, these artworks, born from a genuine encounter between the artists and the spirit of the place, offer visitors an enriching journey of discovery, surprises, and emotions.The pictures show the tiniest glimpse of the artworks amongst the gloious setting of the historic château and gardens.

Ravie d'être invitée à l'inauguration de la Saison d'Art 2026 à Chaumont-sur-Loire qui se poursuit jusqu'en novembre . Chaque année, le Centre Arts et Nature du Domaine invite des artistes visuels et photographes de renommée internationale à créer des œuvres originales et uniques sur le thème de la nature. Réparties sur les 32 hectares du Domaine, ces œuvres, nées d'une véritable rencontre entre les artistes et l'esprit du lieu, offrent aux visiteurs un voyage enrichissant, fait de découvertes, de surprises et d'émotions. Les photos ne donne qu'un aperçu de ces œuvres dans le cadre majestueux du château et de ses jardins historiques.

"What have we done with our empathy for plants and animals ?" A question asked by Han Kang who was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2024 and quoted by the designers of this 'Garden of Dreams' for the International Garden Festival at @domainedechaumontsurloire
It was inspired by Poliphili ; The strife of love in a dream written in 1499. The garden is a timeless place, an ever changing world.
The water appears behind a pergola inspired by Leonardo da Vinci, symbolising knowledge. There is a little girl sitting on a tree stump. All around, perched on branches, suspended in the sunshine, emerging from the water and bursting forth from the aquatic or climbing plants, between mist and dappled light, hybrid beings appear. Winged nymphs, butterfly amphibians, epiphyte-birds and root insects. All half plant, half animal, almost human figures. The sculptures celebrate the four fundamental elements of our existence, earth, water, air and fire.

The designers are Landscape Architect @thierry.huau and Visual Artist Danielacapaccioli and the Association "Berceau de Nymphéas".
This mysterious garden was sponsored by L'Art des Jardins. It was awarded the Favourite of the Show, the 'Coup de Coeur'.
There's plenty of time still to visit the festival with the theme 'Once Upon A Time, in A Garden' It doesn't close until November 2nd.

A legend from ancient China tells of Bai Suzhen, the White Snake which turned itself into a divinely beautiful woman. On the shores of Weat Lake, the woman-spirit meets Xu Xian, a young herbalist with dreamy look in his eye. In the mists of fate, their souls unite, forging a fragile love, ephemeral yet eternal. And so a landscape was born, reflecting their story.

This interpretation (25) 'Le Jardin du Serpent Blanc' won the prize for Design and Innovative ideas. It was created by Architects @clementinebory and Antoine Muller of @ambigue_lab .The garden was sponsored by @architectures_avivre with support from @mathildeb_studio

The evening draws to a close at Chaumont sur Loire and the sun sets over the River Loire silhouetting the elegant Château.
It's not all over yet though. The magic continues though until early November. ✨ It's been wonderful to see the gardens I judged, alongside the other jury members, come to fruition. A selection of the gardens have won several very special awards. I'll be featuring a number of them over the coming days.
