This Wednesday at The Lescar, weâre really excited to present brand new joyful and exuberant music from a brilliant quartet led by Tomorrowâs Warrior, pianist and composer Kyle Osborne.
K.O Quartet are making waves on the UK jazz scene, performing at Ronnie Scotts, the Royal Albert Hall, the Vortex jazz club, We Out Here festival and not least at 2025 Bath Jazz Weekend where they earned the status of âhidden gemâ alongside a host of more established artists.
Mixing a playful approach with intricate and original arrangements of jazz standards and their own unique compositions, K.O Quartet bring new energy straight from the vibrant London jazz scene.

From roots in Senegalese Mande music to a fascination with modern hip hop, Kyle Osborne mixes this with a strong sense of the great jazz pianists that have inspired them, and an outgoing, contemporary perspective. Definitely a name to watch out for, emerging from the Tomorrowâs Warrior talent development programme that has brought us the likes of Nubya Garcia, Shabaka Hutchings, Ezra Collective and so many other incredible musicians.
Providing a firm anchor to the music Freddie Canton (bass) also performs with Poppy Helmer, and is on his way to being an established figure on the London jazz scene, Originally from Derby, and another rising star, Ollie Young (guitar) is establishing himself on the UK scene, performing recently alongside Tony Kofi. And with a range of musical interests from jazz drumming to beat-making Joe Steyn (drums) has played with artists including Gan Gemi, Achilles heel, C-sĂŠ and many more and performs at venues including the renowned 606 Jazz Club in Chelsea.
