Kyle: I started going to @inquiringmindsaugerties back when I was an undergrad at Sarah Lawrence College and spending summers and holidays in the Hudson Valley. I’d hop in the car and hit Saugerties with my sisters and friends, buy books, and then bop around abandoned buildings and the mountains. Inquiring Minds always had a vibe that made ya wanna…yep…inquire. It holds a special spot in my heart and was a blast going back recently and seeing the place shine. I loved the new selections, including some signed copies of our friend @rebelsam94 ‘s books. Esme didn’t get photographed for the dog hall of fame due to a shortage of Polaroids….but she’ll be back!!!!

It’s alway been a dream of mine to be published in @shortflightlongdrive ‘s Hobart, and it’s always been a dream of mine to contribute to the literary history of alcoholic short fiction. Specifically, I’ve always wanted write my version of “The Swimmer,” or “Going for a Beer.” This is my humble attempt at that, with a little spritz of Christian Mysticism and brainrot hyperpolitics thrown into the mix. This will also be the premiere of The Last Dive Bar in Transylvania starring @kylekouri @motelsiren & @deanmgiagni Kyle Kouri (@kylekouri on Instagram) received his MFA in Fiction from Columbia University. He is the co-founder of Slashtag Cinema, a film production company, and has directed and acted in several films and plays. This includes directing and starring in the award-winning horror short film KEEP COMING BACK, and acting in FAMILY MOVIE, which premiered at SXSW. His writing has appeared in Hobart Pulp, Maudlin House, Pool Party Magazine, Cleaver Magazine, the Columbia Journal, Farewell Transmission, Bruiser Magazine, BULL, and Icebreakers Lit. The THE PROBLEM DRINKER is his first book. His first novel, GRAVEYARD, is forthcoming from Rejection Letters. He lives nowhere with his rescue dogs and his girlfriend, the writer CJ Leede. lauren badillo milici is a jersey-born, florida-raised, and brooklyn based poet. she is the author of 2023’s Sad Sexy Catholic and Unlikable Female Protagonist, which hits shelves in 2027. @motelsiren Scott Laudati lives in NYC with his dog, Josie. His work has been published by The Columbia Journal, The Stockholm Review, XRAY, Hobart, and others. Visit him @ScottLaudati . Artist and author Dean Giagni has exhibited in Philadelphia, Detroit and New York City. Dean was raised in upstate NY where his interest in the arts was encouraged by his family, and supported with giant stacks of construction paper, access to the family’s 8mm movie camera and private art instruction. He attended Pratt Institute in Brooklyn with a major in Graphic Design and a minor in Painting. Dean served as Operations Director for CPOP Gallery in Detroit and a partner in Subculture Gallery NYC and Subculture Galleries of Philadelphia.
