Happy 10th Birthday to my Clara Girl!! To the girl who loves so hard and feels so deeply. You brighten every room you enter and are always ready with a quick joke to make everyone smile. You truly completed our family!
It’s hard to fully put into words what this project and night meant.
From the earliest planning conversations, to months of refining every detail, to protecting and preparing the surprise reveal in December, to then continuing to build toward Dell Curry Jersey Retirement Night on March 19, 2026… this became so much more than just another event or another piece of content.
It became one of the most meaningful, rewarding, and pride-filled projects I’ve been a part of in my 13+ years with this organization.
For something that would typically take 8-12 months, the following took place in only 4 months time….
1 - Dell Curry surprise reveal interview,
20+ family, friends and colleague interviews,
9+ pieces of long-form content,
countless social posts,
and endless moments of storytelling.
( Check it all out at hornets.com/dc30 )
So much heart, care, trust, collaboration, and emotion went into making sure this moment felt worthy of Dell, his family, and everything he means to this franchise.
The numbers help tell part of the story. But they don’t tell about the late nights. The ideation and conversations. The tweaks and adjustments. The trust across so many people and departments. The pressure of wanting to get it right. Or the feeling of watching it all finally come to life.
That’s the part I’ll remember forever.
To help play even a small role in honoring someone who means so much to this organization, and to help capture and preserve a night like that through storytelling, is something I’ll never take lightly.
Truly one of the proudest moments of my career.
Grateful for the people I got to do this with. Grateful for the trust. Grateful for the opportunity. And incredibly proud of what this night represented.
Dell Curry, #30, forever a Hornet.
Soccer-filled weekend in Charlotte.
Saturday:
Sophia’s team down 2–0 at half vs. Triangle United. No panic...Just belief. The girls clawed their way back to win 3–2.. and Sophia stepped up and buried the PK to tie it!
Big moment. Bigger composure.
Sunday:
Girls Academy Talent ID Session.
Cold. Windy. Not ideal conditions. Didn’t matter.
Sophia and her teammates showed up, worked, competed, and repped their club while getting some meaningful experience with their conference’s top players!
Proud soccer parents for sure!
The wins are fun… but watching them persevere, respond, and keep chasing big things?
That’s the real joy!

So proud of this kid! Mid-Atlantic South Conference Talent ID for Girls Academy.
No shortcuts. No excuses. Just hard work. She leads by example, shows up for her team, and does whatever it takes.
Well deserved and excited she gets to share it with some of her teammates! Go have fun and enjoy every second of it. ⚽️💙
Two afternoons. One backyard igloo. ❄️
Major throwback to growing up in snowy Meadville, PA…
except this time I was taking very serious construction notes from a 13-year-old with a clear vision and zero tolerance for excuses.
She pushed me to put the snow gear on, trust the process, and keep stacking blocks even when my cold toes had… other thoughts.
Turns out when you slow down, listen, and lean into it, you finish the igloo and make the memory!
Swipe to see the process… and proof this was very much a team build!
