As we witness the traumatizing legacy of Police violating human rights and inducing terror with military tactics & force across the globe, the parallels here are uncanny if not a direct link.
Judges may continuously find the pattern of ‘no-knock’ dynamic entry to be in violation of rights, in contravention of Police Service Act procedures when senior officers intentionally leave seized items out of reports & disclosure — but it is a system designed to leave no route to accountability. Workers in this force are above the law, which does not judge them on a balance of evidence in order to discharge them from duty as with most governing bodies which oversee sectors which intersect with critical human services in health, mental wellness, safety and compliance (and even more in education).
The practice must be place on moratorium, re-assessed, riegned in as within many jurisdictions where so many people have been brutalized, harmed, violated physically, sexually or killed as a result of insufficiently injustifiable or incompetent use this tacitc.

The practice of violating Charter Rights during ‘ no-knock ‘ or ‘ dynamic ‘ entry has been observed as a pattern — by victims, legal experts, precedent setting lawyers, doctoral researchers, former prosecutors and heads of government policing accountability units alike.

Victims are routinely violated before they are found guilty of any criminal activity, activity which in any case does not merit any violation of their rights.
On the other hand, TPS act with virtual impunity, as their violations and contravention of the Police Service Act only leads to professional dismissal or indictment through proof beyond a reasonable doubt (the criminal standard). This is not the case for any other professional college which adjudicates the suitability for work where lives are in the hands of the workers : Doctors, Teachers, social workers, medical practitioners whom are disciplined or fired on a balance of evidence.
Thankyou to Clayton Ruby, who explained the latter with crystal clear confidence, having worked as a defense lawyer setting precedent in accountability for violation of human rights at the hands of the police for almost half a century. May he rest in peace .
