She’s daytime, she’s brimming with joy, she’s Queer with a capital Q, and she’s lakeside (*gasp!*).  Gay Dreams is your Pride Saturday danceateria with a view of the water, DJ sets that radiate sunshine, an all-star cast of dancers... it’s an easy-breezy new party that feels like home. This year’s headliners are Beyoncé Renaissance opener, New York DJ, Producer, model, actress, Papi Juice regular @mayamargaritayes ! Please stretch before floating down to party with us. MM’s blend of cunt percussions, Latin club sounds and scream-out-loud anthem mixing is a wild ride. We’re also bringing Pittsburgh’s @jellyfishpgh ! Together they are an unstoppable, unrelenting, high-energy duo mixing house, chugging 80’s rhythms and global sounds that will make poppers feel like a gentle breeze. They blew our gay minds at last year’s Honcho Campout...and we’re so excited to have them and Maya entertaint you from sundown to stars out. That’s not all of course! Toronto’s Freakers Corner founder, DJ, party monster, Plantasia regular, and radio host - @meagerbeaver (AKA Trustfall) will open the day. SISSY is THEEE official Pride weekend kick-off. A night where we’re all looking good and feeling gorgeous. This is a TORONTO HEADLINERS ONLY, full-building takeover. A chance to give our local heroes all your lovin’, a chance to twirl and check in with all your divas’ weekend plans before the Pride tornado truly twists us out. This years David’s Disco party was a special one. Every person and performer I got to work with was so sweet and fun and professional and just the right level of chaos. This one takes a lot of planning and calls and sheets and downloads and outfits but it’s all worth it for such a great cause (yes @caseyhouseto !) and such beautiful people. 🪩 On top of working with such a great team, I got to meet and play alongside @simonedennymusic - someone who changed everything for me musically and culturally growing up (and still now!?)(never forget Love Inc and BKS y’all!!!). What an honour. 💋 And then there was the ONE. @xosonique . The most stunning, lovely, sweet, hilarious, and talented (if you were there you got to hear her sing along to Dolly at some point!?). 🪩 I’m so happy this is my job and I’m so gay. The dancers. São Paulo - one of the most electric cities I’ve ever been too and need to get back ASAP. Salvador, Brazil was one of the most beautiful, special, complex, joyful, and hilariously IDGAF vibed places I’ve been. 🇧🇷 Once again, I did a very bad job of documenting its beauty and its rich rich rich history, music and people, but thanks to my burner phone and some friends I managed to capture a little piece of our time there.

Plantasia unfurls Saturday, April 11 from 4pm-9pm at Allan Gardens! Slowly peeking her head out of the thawing soils of the city, come inside the solarium for a warm, woozy afternoon under the glass canopy, surrounded by greenery and sounds that’ll make your body bloom. 🌺 It’s like musical medicine for all your senses; surrounded by friendz, ambient reverb, down tempo thumping, cocktails, mocktails, fragrance flow, sitting, standing and swaying. 🌵 A very low-pressure afternoon music garden that will bring us from pm skies to sunset.  🌅 Join your musical gardeners at golden hour @raf.reza , @meagerbeaver , @djphillippe and an opening set from @ki.ki.kai.kai , inside the Children’s Conservatory at @foallangardens 🪴 Leave all your troubles behind for a few hours, surrounded by plants and friends. Lighting nymph @talia.anais will cast a hypnotic spell across the canopy with blossoms of light into the night sky (be sure to arrive before sunset to feel the lights change). 👃 @sandro___sp has harvested scents specifically for our second Plantasia that spore themselves into your subconscious ... a new aroma appearing for each DJ. 🍷 There will be a bar with canned cocktails and mocktails, wine, matte, water and snacks. 🍄‍🟫 Come as you are — grounded and/or elevated. I honestly don’t know how to post about my time in Rio for Carnaval. It’s another world. It’s beautiful. It’s so much LIFE and Joy. It’s complicated. It’s a fantasy world during this time of year and it will eat you up. Rio taught us all another way to celebrate and kiss. 🇧🇷 I did a horrible job documenting it because I was upside down half the time, so thank you to my friends whose many photos I stole.
