OUT NOW: KADAPAT & Nova Ruth featuring Siko Setyanto — OCEAN CAGE [RAUM008 / SBKT077] LP Vinyl Release
Following the live iteration of Moyang 先祖 & Seaman 漁師 during We Travel To Know Our Own Geography at the Venice Biennale, KUBORAUM Editions and SVBKVLT are proud to release Ocean Cage: a collaborative sonic work by Kadapat and Nova Ruth featuring Siko Setyanto.
Developed between ritual, mythology and experimental sound practice, Ocean Cage moves through ancestral memory, Noh theatre references, and oceanic imaginaries, dissolving boundaries between sacred and profane, performer and audience, body and spirit.
Originally conceived within ASIANDOPEBOYS’ evolving universe, the work brings together Kadapat’s deconstructed gamelan and electronic compositions, Nova Ruth’s haunting vocal presence, and Siko Setyanto’s performative narration.
Released jointly by KUBORAUM Editions and SVBKVLT, the LP gatefold edition includes a 16-page booklet featuring an exclusive interview with Kadapat, Nova Ruth and Siko Setyanto reflecting on the origins, mythology and collaborative process behind Ocean Cage.

KUBORAUM Editions Lab at The Infinite Now [17.05, OHM] 16:00
For The Infinite Now, KUBORAUM Editions opens a lab: a temporary rehearsal room, and a gathering space inside OHM.
Starting in the afternoon, the program brings together artists, friends, and extended family around the label, moving between live improvisation, hybrid sets, and DJ sets.
At the centre of the day, a temporary band formed by Ziúr, Emiliano Maggi (Canzonieri), Cosimo Damiano (Canzonieri), and Colin Hacklander (Labour) will come together in the spirit of rehearsal and collective experimentation. Moving into the night, the program will continue with DJ sets by Sofii, Arthur Baron, Ziúr b2b Alys(alys)alys, and Cosimo Damiano.
A lab more than a lineup, built around the old genuine spirit of a scene made by people coming together.
Access to OHM is included for The Infinite Now 30-hour and Sunday ticket holders until midnight.

We are still processing the intensity of these four days of We Travel To Know Our Own Geography. Words cannot describe how grateful we are to all the artists who shaped this journey with their work, generosity, and trust — artists we have been working with for years, who are part of our platform, label, and community.
Across these days, Venice became a meeting point for people arriving from all over the world: different geographies, backgrounds and languages. Some came with suitcases in hand, just to be there with us for a few hours before catching their flight in the early morning. What emerged was a space of inclusivity, care and encounter, held together by everyone who chose to be part of it.
Maybe this is what We Travel To Know Our Own Geography means: to move towards one another, to cross distances, and to recognize something of ourselves in the presence of others.
Thank you to the School for Curatorial Studies Venice for welcoming the project within the public program of One Touch of Nature Makes the Whole World Kin.
Thank you to Ludovica, Elena, and the entire Kuboraum team, who carried every part of this project with dedication, patience, and love.
Thank you to Argo16 for being such a safe, open and welcoming space for our community on the final night of the program.
And thank you to everyone who shared this journey with us.

Kianí del Valle & Ziúr present ‘De Brujas y Fantasmas’
[08.05, 09.05]
For We Travel To Know Our Own Geography, Kianí del Valle and Ziúr present De Brujas y Fantasmas, a performance moving through dance, rituality and sound.
De Brujas y Fantasmas — Of Witches and Ghosts — explores the figure of the witch across Latin American, American and European cultural traditions, beyond archetype: as a gothic and regenerative force, a keeper of ancestral healing knowledge, a mediator between visible and invisible worlds, and a vessel for collective memory.
Drawing on the spectral figure of La Llorona from Puerto Rican folklore, the work unfolds through direction and choreography by Kianí del Valle & an original score by experimental producer Ziúr.
We Travel To Know Our Own Geography is curated by Kuboraum and hosted within the public program of the exhibition One Touch of Nature Makes the Whole World Kin, curated by School for Curatorial Studies Venice.
De Brujas y Fantasmas will be performed live on May 8th and 9th.
RSVP is now closed due to limited capacity. First come, first served.

Emiliano Maggi presents ‘Estasy’ with Wordless Singing Group @wordless_singing_group
[06.05, 09.05]
Estasy is the project of Emiliano Maggi, Italian artist, performer and composer whose practice moves across music, sound and visual art.
At the centre of the project is Maggi’s high-pitched, androgynous voice: a fragile and otherworldly presence unfolding through lo-fi textures, field recordings and sparse electronic beats. His melodies seem to drift between dreams, fairy tales and haunted visions, opening a sound world that feels intimate, uncanny and deeply instinctive.
For this occasion, he will be teaming up with @wordless_singing_group led by Nina Baietta.
We Travel To Know Our Own Geography, curated by Kuboraum, is hosted within the public program of the exhibition One Touch of Nature Makes the Whole World Kin, curated by School for Curatorial Studies Venice.
Estasy will be performed live on May 6th and 9th.
RSVP is now closed due to limited capacity. First come, first served.
