They say don’t meet your heroes.
And while I understand the warning, I couldn’t disagree more.
Because sometimes life is exactly as beautiful, good, and magical as you hope it will be.
Last week,
@newfyrue and I traveled to Baja, Mexico, to
@meawisdom , where I spent the week learning from one of my heroes,
@elizabeth_gilbert_writer , and a new hero to me,
@tereraitrent —alongside 44 extraordinary humans I now call friends.
The retreat was titled Awakening Magic—and that’s exactly what it did.
Nestled along the coast with whales swimming just offshore, we explored creativity, fear, devotion, and the quiet truth that the answers we’re searching for have been inside us all along.
I left with my cup full—steeped in magic, inspired, reconnected to love, to possibility, to the deeper current beneath the noise.
Liz was as wise and grounded as I always sensed she would be. I’m grateful to have sat in the presence of her clarity—and to
@chipconley for creating a space where this kind of gathering is possible.
I vow to never stop investing in my own growth.
To keep cultivating my creativity.
To keep expanding what I believe is possible for myself.
To prioritize inspiration.
It’s the very principle I strive to teach inside
@ktmerryeducation .
And to everyone who shared that week—your openness, courage, and brilliance will stay with me.
My heart is full.
My creativity awakened. ✨
