Grief, loss, yearning, missing, a broken piece of your heart, never to return 💔 This post is not going to sugar coat the memories, those are painful, these are the ones no one talks about..... It’s in the silence, when the walls feel like they’re closing in and there’s no-where to place the ache It’s in the tears that come, like a North Qld flood, no one asked for, the lump in your throat, the moments where your whole body feels like it’s screaming and sometimes you literally are. The grabbing of your pillow, or anything that's in front of you, the deep pain you feel within your heart, a moment where you want it to all stop but only if they come back......only if what you yearn for returns Nothing takes the pain away, nothing brings you to your knees quicker than pleading/praying with God Time, space and feeling the waves is when you eventually run out of tears Scrolling through photos, listening to their last voice mail, calling their phone, unpacking the box of their items, smelling their clothes, just anything to make you feel closer to them.... People don’t see that part, the breaking, the anger, the numbing, the fierce fire that rages and the exhaustion that follows...... Even if it lasts minutes or an hour or days, or weeks, or months or years, it feels like forever Grief stretches time, it bends reality It reminds you of love in the most painful way Maybe the depth of your grief, is the depth of your love, that's what some people say, and yes to that Maybe it’s not about “moving on” or “getting over it" Maybe it's about sharing what losing someone is really like so we feel less alone in our grief, because I tell you my friends....
