2026 LSU TIGER GIRLS JAZZ ROUTINE🥈 “Oops!… I Did It Again” @britneyspears x Choreographed by @kristindaniel “On Sunday night, the LSU Tiger Girls became history-makers, yet again, after earning 2nd place in UDA D1A Jazz. This is the highest jazz placement in Tiger Girl history, and not only that, they are the first team to break into the Top 2 of D1A Jazz since 2017. This isn’t the result of luck or coincidence, it is product of meticulous preparation, grit, and divine timing. Everything about this routine was so intentional and personal for me - from the artist, to the song, to who was brought into the process, to the costuming… everything. A special, full circle moment for me was having my mentor, Brian Friedman in the room with me on one of the days before we left for nationals. From the moment I chose the song, I absolutely knew I was never going to put a Britney piece on stage this big without him being a part of it all and I CANNOT thank Kandace enough for providing that opportunity for the TGs and for making that dream of mine a reality. The process to bring a concept like this to fruition was far from easy but BEYOND worth it to see this incredible program reach heights it never has before. I really feel like I haven’t even fully processed the overwhelming response to what put on the nationals mat, but I hope if nothing else the world has seen TGs as authentically them in my work. They are One of One and it is such an honor to have their undeniable light shine on full display in my work. A huge thank you to Kandace and Londyn - you guys are magicians and you deserve your flowers as coaches just as much as we do as creators. TGs I love you and I am so inspired by you. Feels only right to share this with the world on what would’ve been Aaliyah, the Princess of R&B’s 45th birthday. We thank you and hope we’ve honored your legacy with even just a fraction of the inspiration you blessed us with. Introducing our 2024 JAZZ routine choreographed by the talented @kristindaniel and coached by @kantdance2 and @londyn_ashleyyy . We could not be more proud to dance this routine on the nationals mat and hope we inspire others to try something new. Our choreographer Kristin says “I have so much I want to say, but am honestly still so overwhelmed with all the emotions from just the last 72 hours. Just a few months ago, everyone involved walked into this journey of “unknowns” with such grace, enthusiasm, & trust. Kandace trusted me to be the new jazz choreographer for the TGs, a team that she cares for and loves so deeply. The team trusted me and my process and really pushed themselves to master my style in just a few short months. I trusted myself & that I could stay true to my artistic voice in the dance team arena and still help this program cement itself as a contender in the jazz category with their own identity. Fast forward to today, and we have made HISTORY with this routine. I could not be more proud of the Tiger Girls, Kandace and Londyn, & everyone involved with the support of this team. Unreal. You guys are absolute STARS and I’m grateful and proud of how yall delivered. . . . This project is so special to me because it marks the beginning of a new chapter in my life. What started as just a requested video submission turned into an unexpected reconnection to community, and to myself. I can’t really put into words the feeling creating this visual gave me, but I know I needed it. Kept her in the vault for a bit, but now it’s time for the world to see this one! More on the way :) 🖤
