Laura.aLL / Agente Costura / Kris Limbach Fr, 8 May 2026 door 8 pm, start 8:30 pm from 10 euro ausland (Lychener Str.60) Laura.aLL (aka Laura Leiner, LauraL) is a guitarist, experimental composer and curator propelled by curiosity. She is an artist with a multidisciplinary background encompassing music, performing arts, sound art, video and social communication. Her work ranges from daring electroacoustic experiments to ambient music, psychedelic rock, noise and minimal. Since 2009, Laura has lived in Berlin, where she created the projects Sonic Sound Space and miniLab, which focus on sound experiments, improvised music and women in music. Lisa Simpson created a whole multisensorial universe, where sounds come from speaking hats, modified machines and aberrantly placed microphones. She works as an artist, performer, craftivist, seamstress, teacher, instrument builder and noise enthusiast. Kris Limbach is an audiovisual artist, filmmaker, and curator who occasionally sets fire to Super 8 films. His sound work employs techniques such as film editing, prepared drums, tape manipulation, no-input mixing, and field recording. The concert series Frictive Frequencies brings some of the mostly behind-the-scenes cultural activists in the field of improvised music in Berlin into the spotlight. It makes the artistic side of the organizers visible, giving something back to this scene. The series sees itself not only as a forum for improvised music, but also as a place for communication and the exchange of ideas about DIY practices. The invited guests present their own unique sonic languages, and also share their experiences in artistic and organizational practice in short talks. Mushroom circuits, 2019. Not much coffee going on in this one, just as charge accumulated in the resistor at the centre of the frame. A vacuum tube populated by mushrooms, some connections going nowhere. Could be an EL34, typically used in Marshall guitar amps. Below, desert scenes storyboarded into the resistors: a landscape, a duel in the sun, some TV watching, reminiscences of watching westerns with my grandpa around Christmas, and part of the preparation of @ohnmacht_film

The Republic of T.A.T.V. has survived six years on a fluctuating budget, without a permanent territory, and without consensus on what exactly it does. We consider this an achievement. The Republic — with its president/curator Kris Limbach, who rose to power through a no-doubt manipulated election, and Secretary of State Mariana Hoyos, who has somehow never been removed from office — gets a new chance: #6 arrives May 29–31 at Galiläakirche with its usual proposition: something that fits no category and requires three days.
