She Belongs to Me is a wonderful Bob Dylan cover and it feels worth mentioning that when Bryan was recording the final vocal, he pulled out his harmonica for the choruses and did it all in one take. Amazing to see in this day n age of cobbling separate bits of audio together inside a computer. Respect to the legend 👊

@jessicawinter666 and I made this song in 3 hours the first afternoon we met. We didn’t know it then but this was the first afternoon of the rest of the album! The same day Jess found out I wasn’t in fact an old man with a long grey beard (most of the time) 😙
I messed with the track for over a year trying to get it to hit right and learned a lot along the way, proving that these things can take time but also that great songs are often written very quickly.

Aside from where lyrics weren’t finished, Jess’s vocals are how they were after the first 3 hours, proving what a phenomenal artist she is 💙. Please, do try to enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed making 🔥

SURPRISE (even to me) release day!!! This remix for @whitedevildisco came along as soon as I heard the vocals @josephpancucci had done on the original and had to hear it with a Krinksesque beat / modular hook under it. A sample (geddit?) of my live show in action.
For the nerrrds: the 4 tracks of drums/bass come out of separate MPC outputs and into the first 4 channels of the mixing desk. I then have ‘music’ stuff on a stereo channel with the ability to change the filter / pitch via the 2 sliders on the MPC. Add in a synched drum machine and modular synth and you’ve got yourself a party.
