Finse, Norway ā›·ļøšŸ”ļø This February I skied solo around the Finse and Hardangervidda areas of Norway. For over 100 years it’s been a training ground for Arctic pioneers and just like my past expeditions, some crazy sh*t happened. 🤪 I can see why people test their survival abilities in Finse but more on that later… I had a bit of time to film on this trip so here’s a little vid summing up some of my two weeks living out on the ice. I learnt a lot. 🦾 It’s also the first time I’ve completed an expedition without an injury or lingering illness so it was nice to feel in good shape for once! šŸ˜Ž I’ve metioned it before but my kidney transplant results have been absolutely perfect since I started regularly training for these expeditions and it’s really reminded me how important regular exercise and proper rest are for your body’s healthy function. This may all seem obvious to everyone but when I see consistent positive medical results for me and the kidney it hits home. It’s what all organ transplant patients šŸ¤žšŸ»šŸ¤žšŸ» for everyday. Stay healthy and look after yourself, it’s worth it. ā˜ŗļø Kidney health for all! Lastly, this expedition wouldn’t have been at all possible without the help of these wonderful people. Jon @e3coach Lars @polarlars Sindre and Ine-Lill @ouslandexplorers The amazing staff @ St George’s Hospital as ever My family and friends (you know who you are!) All the knowledgeable and incredibly helpful people I met in Finse. Special mention to Ahmed for driving through central Oslo like an F1 driver so I didn’t miss my train šŸ¤˜šŸ» Thank you so much everyone. 😊 #soloexpedition #adv #kidneytransplantrecipient #fsgs #snow #windy #norwayexpedition

I’m posting this amazing piece of artwork portraying me in Svalbard by the multi-talented Oli@iamthenightingale to announce that next April/May I’m planning on becoming the first ever organ transplant patient in the world to cross Greenland by ski whilst hauling all my own food and equipment. I’m proud to be raising money for St. George’s Hospital Charity again, helping support the life-saving work they do for me and many others every day. 😊 I’ll be part of a team of six attempting this month-long expedition to cross the world’s largest island. There’s a lot of training, work and learning ahead of me but I’m excited! 🦾 This expedition won’t be possible without sponsors so please DM me if you or any individuals or companies you know may be interested in being part of a world-first and fantastic charitable cause. šŸ¤™šŸ» There’ll be lots more to follow including my fundraising page and sponsorship website but for now, I’d like to thank these people for all their help, guidance and support getting me this far. Helen @newland.no Annie @polarexplorers Joel @klattermusen Jon @jon_endurance_coach Louis @shackletonofficial Molly and co @stgeorgeshospitalcharity All the staff @teampiteraq A month travelling on one of the largest glaciers in the world getting battered by the elements in freezing temperatures… Wtf am I doing? šŸ˜œšŸ˜‚ #futureadventures #adv #greenland #expedition #excitingtimes #artwork #fsgs #kidneytransplantrecipient #kidneywarrior

TENT LIFE / STORM LIFE ā›ˆļø 🦊 EXPEDITION 2026 Solo living in remote Norway during a three day storm. It can be hard to sleep when there’s a wild storm battering your tent all night and you’re all on your own. The mind can play tricks and even though I find storms quite relaxing, the constant howling of the wind and shaking of your tent can sometimes keep you awake. A red arctic fox 🦊 had also stolen most of my supplies a few days before (more on that later) so I was extra vigilant but I didn’t expect to wake up to my whole cooking area being covered in fresh snow! The snow broke in through a small gap under the tent door (which the arctic fox may have dug to try and break into my tent!) and covered everything as you can see. A new one for me on expedition! Once the sun was up and the storm raging even more, (watch until the end for that!) the snow started to melt a little so I cleaned it up, made myself some tasty steaming raspberry porridge and enjoyed the show! Nature is epic. ā˜ŗļø #wildcamping #wintercamping #norway #cozycamping #soloadventure

This is how I prepare for my Arctic expeditions. šŸ¤˜šŸ» Tire dragging is a huge part of training for all of my Arctic expeditions as it’s the most effective way of replicating the hauling of all the food and equipment you have as you ski in sub-zero temperatures for weeks and weeks. Big shout out to Jon @e3coach and his expert training schedules that always get me fully prepared. šŸ’ŖšŸ» I’m typically hauling up to 120kg of food and equipment for a month or longer so long tire drag sessions with my monster tire (or even an extra tire) of 1-6 hours are essential training. 🫔 If you want to give tire dragging a go, it’s great for your endurance, cardio, legs, back and core! šŸ’ŖšŸ» DM me if you want any help or advice. ā˜ŗļø #expedition #endurancetraining #soloadventure #outdoortraining #mentalstrength

Last nights talk at Alpkit Ikley was a lot of fun and I’m very grateful to Alpkit and everyone that made the effort to travel and watch me ramble on about Greenland for an evening - especially some good friends and my Dad. ā˜ŗļø I don’t think I’ve ever spoken for so long before but it was really fun to relive the most amazing expedition I’ve ever been a part of with everyone and to help raise money for two great charities. Thank you to everyone again for coming and I’m really happy you all enjoyed yourselves! šŸ¤˜šŸ» Please check out Alpkits upcoming charity talks and join in if you can. If you couldn’t make the talk but want to donate to either of the charities, give me a DM! More talks to follow… #greenlandexpedition #charitytalk #adventureforgood #expeditionstory #fundraisingjourney

-10c 55+ miles per hour winds Solo camping I love storms. 🤩 I grew up with pretty stormy weather in my village in Yorkshire, UK so camping solo in Norways Hardangervidda during one of the longest and most powerful storms I’ve ever witnessed was a lot of fun. ā›ŗļø On expedition, these are almost rest days believe it or not. 🤪 You have to keep checking your tent and digging it out as the storm slowly buries it in snow but otherwise you check and repair equipment, relax and enjoy the show. Nature is fierce sometimes. šŸ˜Ž wildcamping wintercamping norway soloadventure extremeweather

Whiteout, no visiblity, just my compass.🧭 You can’t predict the weather at the best of times and certainly not on a solo expedition in Norways Hardangervidda! šŸ”ļø This was essentially a zero visibility or ā€œwhiteoutā€ day and perfect for keeping my navigation skills sharp. I had to solely rely on my compass, map work, gps waypoints and any land marks when they would occasionally appear to have any idea where I was. šŸ‘€ Keep your skis straight, keep an eye on your compass, stay focused and you won’t get lost which can be very dangerous out here there in the wilderness!! Fun times. 🤩 #wildcamping #wintercamping #norway #soloadventure #extremeconditions

Not too long until my big expedition into the šŸ‡³šŸ‡“ wilderness again. The planning, training and logistics are in full swing. 🤪 I’ll be on my own again, testing my skills and taking on Norways unpredictable and wild weather which can be identical to this photo from my Greenland traverse in 2024. ā›ˆļø Taken from our teammates tent, the photo was during the second day of a 3 day storm we got caught in. It was awesome. 🤩 Bring on the adventureā€¦šŸ¤˜šŸ» #arcticexpedition #soloadventurer #snowcamping #greenlandadventure #expeditionlife
