Hello everyone.
On January 30, NOCTURNA opens its first Pavilion — a space for attentive listening and immersion into thinking through sound.
In this episode, we turn to the practice of KOMLEV, exploring his approach to vinyl as both a medium and a tool. Through record selection, sequencing, texture, and rhythm, we examine how meaning is shaped not only by the music itself, but by how it is placed in time and context. Special attention is given to transitions, silence, surface noise, and the physicality of recorded sound.
We are interested not only in what is played, but how it is played — the intuitive decisions and listening process that unfold in real time.
The event will take place as a live stream and will later be released as a podcast on YouTube and here on Instagram.

The goal of NOCTURNA is to identify what makes electronic music essential today and to capture this through the documentation of artists’ creative processes and contexts.
By working directly with musicians, each Pavilion functions as a live research episode — examining how meaning is formed through sound, methods, inner processes, and decisions made in real time. This creates a deeper understanding of the contemporary electronic scene beyond the boundaries of specific locations or genres.
The filming will be streamed live on January 30 at 12:00 PM (Los Angeles time) on YouTube and Twitch.
Later, Pavilion 1 will be released as a standalone show dedicated to electronic music and the artists presented.
