Spring in the mountains looks a lot like this lately — fresh green, quiet mornings, wildlife everywhere, and cozy spaces to come back to after a day outside.
The slow season might secretly be the best season.

Ok, our stay in this bespoke tiny treehouse last week was truly magical ✨
It gave those cosy vibes, that ask you to immediately settle in & relax (ideally into the big comfy love seat looking out at the forest!).
It felt like we could’ve stayed forever.
The wood fired sauna and natural cold plunge was a luxury addition, because honestly, who doesn’t love a bit of heat therapy!? (Ross maybe wasn’t so keen on the cold plunge aspect 😂).
And with it being only 5 minutes from the trails, it was ideal for riding bikes every day 🙌🏼
All in all, I’m pretty convinced the world would be a better place if more people lived in tiny treehouses - but hey, maybe that’s just me!
Be sure to follow @bees_knees_in_the_trees , and check it out next time you’re in the Kootenays ⬇️

Step into a storybook ✨on the Kaslo River Trail 💦!
The trail winds through towering trees, crossing the river on two red covered bridges, with hidden “Koots” sculptures tucked among the boulders. 🍄❤️

Simpson River Trail, Kootenay National Park. 🌲🏔
Hike to the red chairs & I promise you, you won't be disappointed.
In the East Kootenays, right off the hwy, there is a turn-off. It is very important you take that turn-off, park, cross the bridge and follow the trail.
At the end of this trail, you will come across the red chairs. This hangout spot isn't just about enjoying the view or taking a breather before heading back down. There is a little metal box that contains letters and notes from everyone who has made it there before you. Add to the collection and leave a note! 💜
Follow for more inspiration for your next roadtrip in BC! 🏔🌲✨️
