Mission Reboot is happening this weekend Art-A-Whirl. It’s fun! But don’t take our word for it. Here are some testimonials from our day one recruits!

Koo Koo has always been about participation. When we started the band 18 years ago we wanted to create a live show where the audience was a part of the party via call and response sing along moments and communal dance moves. Then we made dance-a-long music videos which invited the viewer to do more than passively watch.
This weekend in Minneapolis we are stepping into a new realm of interactivity with Mission Reboot, an immersive sci-fi experience for all ages.
It’s a single room puzzle attraction where you’ll meet characters on their crashed spaceship and help them return home. Like everything we do it’s made with all ages in mind. Bring your friends or your kids, you’ll have a good time either way. This is only happening for one weekend so don’t miss it!
Can YOU help Captain Collins?
Mission Reboot: an immersive sci-fi experience for all ages. Coming this weekend to Art-A-Whirl in Northeast Minneapolis.
Find us at the Grain Belt Bottling House - Friday 5pm-8pm, Saturday noon-8pm, and Sunday noon to 5pm.
Behind the scenes for the Shrink Ray video shoot! We had a great time in NE Minneapolis last summer making this video with directors @nkesler and @arleighhagberg . Extra shout out to their pet Audrey for being a very good dog and a very evil villain.

Have you ever had your day ruined by a mad scientist armed with a laser gizmo? Being reduced to the size of an ant is really annoying and can lead to all sorts of hijinks. Behold the music video for Shrink Ray where small things seem bigger, normal voices become squeaky and a mysterious villain is revealed!

Without Flight of the Conchords I’m not sure we would have ever made Koo Koo. Their HBO show and coinciding album was a massive source of inspiration for us when we decided to experiment with making comedy songs back in 2008.
Fast forward nearly two decades and I finally had the opportunity to see the band live! They reunited to play their first shows in over eight years and I literally had a front row seat. Despite being a little rusty at times, Brett and Jemaine were wonderful. The songs are as funny as ever and the duo displayed their versatility cycling through a surprising amount of different instruments.
Banter is another area in which FotC influenced us greatly. These two Kiwis are as good between songs as they are performing music. Their friendship and comfort shines through while being witty, self deprecating and charmingly deadpan.
The show ended up being a reunion of their two-season TV show as Arj Barker (Dave) opened the evening with a stand up set. Later on, Rhys Darby (Murray) joined the duo for a “band meeting” which led into Kristen Schaal (Mel) winning a drawing to meet the band live on stage.
Another great evening at the Greek Theater. Go listen to @flightoftheconchords and watch their show. I promise you’ll laugh a lot and you’ll have a better understanding of the origins of Koo Koo.

Are we proud to be from Minnesota? You betcha! That’s why we made a song dedicated to phrases we say up here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes.
We’re also proud to be partnering with @exploreminnesota for the dance-a-long video for “Ope!”
