ANCADA Gallery ⢠(Logotype & visual identity, 2022) @ancada.gallery
The second-generation, borrowed from the expertise and experience of their family-run gallery, came together to create a disruptive design house, leaned towards a brighter future for petrified wood, minerals, and meteorites. Taking the codes of luxury, we developed together a visual identity composed by a logotype and a monogram.
The ANCADA visual identity combines two fonts (serif and sans-serif) and the monogram replicates the shape of an ammonite.
ANCADA Gallery features an exquisite selection of finest handpicked specimens from all over the world, comprising of rare fossils of museum quality as well as petrified wood, minerals, and meteorites. These masterpieces can enrich elegant architecture and provide natural luxurious interior design accents. It links unique objects from nature to lifestyle, interior design and architecture and is the result of over 50 years of work.

This week, weâre featuring @knoops , the multidisciplinary designer who created our shower curtain âThe Glitchâ. She mixes digital and physical worlds into bold, colorful visuals and tactile objects, collaborating with names like CHANEL, Maison Michel, and SchĂśn! Switzerland magazine.
What inspires your work?
I remix glitches from my VJ and digital design everyday background, bringing computer algorithms, and the beauty of error, into vibrant, material forms.
A favorite detail in your shower curtain design?
The way the pattern shifts as it folds reminds me of the moment I exported a PDF and it glitched â breaking into scattered bits of information that formed this unexpected design.
One thing youâd take to a deserted island?
A disposable camera, so the island could keep the memories long after I am gone.
Whatâs the number one thing on your bucket list?
Having my textile patterns cover an entire hotel room, on walls, bedding, curtains, everything. (Calling the amazing art directors behind ZigZagZurich / 4Spaces!)
