Thank you to the collector who purchased my watercolor postcard of Marsha P. Johnson during the Postcards From the Edge benefit for @visual_aids ! I highly recommend participating, they accept submissions every fall and the in person preview is always a blast. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
I donated a work to Postcards from the Edge. It's a benefit show to raise $$ for @visual_aids . The preview opens this Friday, January 23rd at 6:00pm at Berry Campbell Gallery @ 525 W 26th St. The sale is anonymous and all postcard size 4"x6" works are $100.
FYI there is $10 admission to see the show, but the fees are also donated and on a sliding scale. It's worth it!

Happy to end the year discovering my new painting hero Vanessa Horabuena. Just saw this live painting of Jesus she created and auctioned for over $2 million today at Mar-a-lago. She's branded her style, "live Christian worship painting."
The first couple photos suck, but wanted to shout out @estefaniavelezart on making the coolest handmade watercolors with the weirdest light, partially opaque neons and amazing slightly sparkly granulating colors. Finally found a moment to pull these out and try them last night, looking forward to playing with them more! Check out Estefania's incredible color charts and affordable travel sets. She's got every color you could think of.

I'm looking forward to having fun and letting off some steam at the No Kings protest tomorrow. I gave Donald an orange spray to make him look more natural. Working on a sad velvet clown painting of him too.

Today only my "No Coney Casino" protest banner will hang at "No Regerts" in McGolrick Park from 2pm to 4pm. I've been having a hot dog summer, and this piece celebrates the 4th of July hot dog contest and raises awareness about the potential development of the area into a casino complex.
"No Regerts" is curated by @dominicterlizzi and @cccstiver in the spirit of showing experimental work straight outta the studio in beloved McGolrick Park. The artist lineup is fantastic, and so is the weather!
