Coming down from a performance high from the last few weeks. I’m left feeling so grateful and abundant. I couldn’t have asked for a better first year post-grad thanks to the NC dance community. What a pleasure it is to share and create with so many wonderful people.
In honor of international dance day, I would like to happily announce I will be joining the incredible company of Open Space Too in Portland, Oregon this fall! I am so excited to continue learning and sharing in a new space. Thank you to everyone that made this possible for me. And a special thank you to @traceydurbin for all of your help along the way. I can’t wait to see what the next year has in store. @openspace.dance
I’ve been reflecting on how much the community has done for me this past year. As I make this transition, if you or anyone you know has the capacity to assist in any way, my sweet friend @laylace11 has created a donation space which you can find in my bio. I’ve been hesitant to share this as a result of feeling embarrassed, privileged, and fearful of judgement. However, if the past year has taught me anything, it is to ask for help when you need it. So here I am. Please share with your friends, family, and dance enthusiasts. And thank you to everyone who made this possible thus far. I can’t wait!

A few months ago when I was planning my graduation pictures I quickly realized the only studio I wanted to be in was this one.
A few weeks later, I received the Performing Artist Award for State Dance Company for seasons '23-'24 and '24-'25. (I was as shocked as you are)
I feel so rewarded and honored to carry this title. Thank you to my talented teammates and incredible dance faculty at @ncstatedance for the past three years. This company has truly built me from the ground up and I will miss our community so deeply. A special thanks to @zmullinsdance and @traceydurbin for supporting me, teaching me, guiding me, and putting up with my antics. How special it is to have you both as mentors.
Beyond grateful and eager to continue my dance career professionally. (i hope)

My career as a member of the State Dance Company has come to a close, so I must acknowledge this BATTLE of a piece. This duet was quite possibly the most difficult thing I’ve ever had to do. However, I am so proud of myself and my exquisite duet partner for fully committing to our roles and movement. Months of blood, sweat, and tears all for a one night performance. But that’s what it’s about after all. I love you mars, we really make a great pair. I feel so whole and rewarded from this masterpiece alone. Thank you.
Also, thank you to danah bella for allowing us to embody your work, it was a pleasure, truly.

I knew I wanted to be on Platform the second I was accepted to NC State. Never had I imagined I’d be lucky enough to one day say I was an editor. Thank you @bermudez.joshua for guiding this team and allowing me to take some of the credit ;) it has been my honor to serve next to you 💅🏻 and thank you PLATFORM for having me for three years. I am forever in awe of the talent on this team and can’t wait to see what the future of this community holds. It’s been a pleasure to watch you all create, collaborate, and DEVOUR these shoots. How lucky I am to observe it all this last semester.
