2025 COSPLAY GOAL ✅ COMPLETE Loading…. Whatever comes next 📸 @cosplayfandomsy I am still so very full of emotion at the moment. I finally got to get up on stage and try my hand at a competition!! At the start of the year I was saying that it was something that I wanted to finally do this year, and I can’t believe I’ve ticked it off the bucket list so early on. I wanted to go into this with a mindset of slowing down and paying attention to my work, falling in love with crafting all over again, and I truly have. I have never put so much thought, attention, and even pure hours of crafting into any one cosplay before. And I cannot think of ONE MOMENT (besides a Tuesday night wig style that had me near breakdown) where I wasn’t enjoying what I was doing, whether it was drawing out and patterning and planning to the 1am painting and hand sewing. While it’s always disappointing to put your heart into something and not place, standing around and seeing everyone else who ALSO put everything they had into their cosplays, who’s work is so striking up close, and who fully deserve it, I am also just so grateful to be able to share a stage with such incredible talent. I appreciate and adore all the support I could feel from everyone! I had so many people complimenting me it was crazy 🫣 Thank you to my dearest bestie for always hyping me and inspiring confidence in me, and rallying the troops with your sign to make me feel SO SPECIAL Thank you @owldamone , @grizzlyghoul_ and @reydeycosplay for hyping, giving advice, reassurance, laughing, and crying with me side stage, alongside all the other competitors! To the judges and organisers for giving me the respect, attention and interest in my work. And the biggest of thank yous to my partner @e.mu_cos . Without him looking after the home, making sure I ate, going on material runs with me, casting a second eye over my work and doing nothing but support, tell me that I’m doing wonderful and have the utmost confidence in me, I wouldn’t have been able to push through and get this done. I have too many words thoughts and feelings, but I can be sure that my first experience on the comp scene was the best I could ask for ❤️

I’m out of this world happy with the photos from this belated-valentines day by 📸 @cosplayfandomsy The bubbles were inspired by the second opening of the anime, and the bubble machine was kept from our New Years covid date, where Ethan set up a whole lil place on the roof with sparklers and bubbles to ring in the new year. I’m glad these bubbles get to make it into so many of our memories ❤️❤️❤️ I almost didn’t feel like I was in the middle of a shoot since so much of it was goofing around and being silly lil geese with Ethan and Bella. I forgot half the time that I was meant to be portraying a clumsy but proficient assassin 😂 every smile and giggle is 100% genuine, I had the best time. I can’t believe that I’ve been so blessed with a partner who not only supports my hobby so strongly, but loves it too to the point where he secretly organised a cute ass shoot with one of my favourite couples as an activity for US!!!! TOGETHER!!!!!!!!! Still wildin over that tbh. It's coming up on a year since I made and competed with Ayaka at TGX last year, which is wild to me! Tog: @lumenoxphotography the GOAT Taken at @iconphotofest 2025 And here I am, back in the building, working harder than I ever have on another cosplay. Same game, same vibe, new year 🤣 One of the things that I ended up lamenting was that even though Ayaka was an exercise in patience, planning, and such a deviation from my usual "crunch it out in two weeks and just don't look too closely at Anything" - I still came out of tgx wishing I had more time, that I could have refined and refined and fixed and done better. But I also know that my brain doesn't really let me start on anything unless there's a deadline - I still got that crunch dog in me. I fight it but I can never truly escape 🫣 Working on Sandrone, I can already feel the improvement in my own work. I can take the time to make sure everything feels perfect. I feel comfortable in experimenting, tweaking, and even trying loads of new techniques. My mind is racing with all so many exciting new areas to explore! While I'm still stressing a tad about scope and submission deadlines, a year later and I'm in a much better space than I was last year. I really feel like I'm settling into the era where I know what I don't know, and I can't just stop stretching and learning new things, and returning to the absolute cosplayer audacity where I go "oh yeah I can totally figure out how to make a turning mechanical key with no electronics experience or prop/foam based expertise... Let me at it!". Where it's so much more fun to take a build- make it more complicated for shits and gigs, and make it, instead of just buying something It's all really just an excuse to do a bunch of fun and interesting things lmao. If you've made it this far, thank you! Please keep cheering me on in this build as I push for a higher level of comp, cosplay refinement, and enjoyment for the hobby. He listens to my daily ramblings - from random work goss to cosplay ideas to genshin lore drops to whatever my silly brain goes to, and always has some equally batshit hypothetical or thought experiment to throw back at me. He's someone who always supports me to be my best, and has all the kindness and patience for me when I feel my worst. I'm proud of the life we've built together and excited for all the years we have ahead of us. ✨details✨ Photography by @lumenoxphotography Taken at @iconphotofest 2025 Yet another reason why I adore Frankie: she remembers to get shots like these 😭 From hours spent silver and gold foiling fabric, ombré dying a million pieces, crafting handmade flowers, to wrestling wigs into submission and braining out structure, Ayaka is the most effort and detail I have ever put into a cosplay. While the bulk of the cosplay took a month, it really felt like a whole 50% of it feels like finishing touches that weren’t QUITE right… until they were. She was a lesson in patience, perseverance, and a healthy dose of curiosity and exploration of some fun new techniques that I’ve never tried before (including hat making????). Springbloom Missive Ayaka 🌸 Shot by @lumenoxphotography at @iconphotofest 2025 GIRL when I heard Frankie was making her way down to Tassie for ICON this year I just HAD to get this shot with her 🥰🥰🥰🥰 I love Frankie to bits, ayaya is a best girl of hers, AND I never ended up shooting this Ayaka outside of TGX (saving her for this trip for real). It was so so so good being able to get some proper photos in a gorgeous location of a cosplay that I poured my blood, sweat and tears into. Looking back on it I am SO bloody proud of the crafter I’ve grown into. Genshin cos is not for the weak 🫠 and with every element of this cosplay being handmade (including the hat!!!!) it’s something very very dear to me.
