On April 25th, we sang with @patrickwatsonofficial and @laforceband on their song “The Lonely Lights”. It was a very unique opportunity for us to sing backing vocal harmonies in a modern context, and we even got to improvise a little onstage! It was such a pleasure to open for Patrick Watson on his LA and SF shows for his 2026 tour.

Kitka is thrilled to welcome back the amazing, charismatic, and brilliantly talented Siberia-born, Tatarstan-raised, UK-based Slavic and Yiddish choir director, vocalist, and composer Polina Shepherd to the Bay Area for a jam-packed artist-residency weekend on April 11 and 12. Join @polinashepherd for workshops encompassing Slavic enchantment songs and Yiddish tunes to inspire cathartic and ecstatic dances (led by Jewish dance leader Bruce Bierman), and a special concert of vocal music inspired by textile arts!
