About last night…. I put together this delicious American BBQ board for a catchup with friends. Food, friends and a few cold ones is the way to do it. I recently purchased a few rubs and sauces from @thesmokeycarter and I was blown away by the flavours! Baby Back Ribs marinated in Chipotle Charcoal BBQ Rub and then finished with North Carolina Style BBQ sauce. Chicken Quarters marinated in Smokey Chipotle BBQ Rub and finished with the Chipotle and Bourbon BBQ sauce. Pulled Pork marinated in Smokey Chipotle BBQ Rub Texas Hot Links from @jlbutchers smoked low and slow to perfection. Homemade American slaw, Mac ‘n’ Cheese and Cornbread! Whilst I know how to cook these cuts, I went back to basics and followed @bbqwithjake new series to cook the ribs and pulled pork to see if I could improve and I definitely saw some awesome results!! AD|GIFTED KAMADO-COOKED CHICKEN RAMEN JUST LEVELLED UP WITH OXO BONE BROTH! Ramen cooked on the Kamado that hits different. A full American BBQ feast… it must be a Kirby thing… Last weekend’s birthday party turned into a full on BBQ smokehouse experience 🇺🇸 Brisket cooked and sliced to perfection, pulled pork stacked high, smoky pit beans, fresh slaw and pickles that tied it all together 🤤 @theflavourforge Blend giving the brisket the perfect seasoning and bark. NOT EVERY BBQ COOK GOES TO PLAN… BUT WE MOVE ON Final day of #UKBBQWeek and it’s all about brunch & sweet treats 🥞 Tried cooking pancakes on the kamado using cast iron and let’s just say… the grill was too hot, pancakes stuck, failed flips and plenty of frustration. But BBQ is all about adapting. Switched to the trusty non stick indoor pan and finally got there in the end. Fluffy pancakes filled with chocolate spread and fruit and rolled for a super fun Sunday breakfast.
